Every country has a problem, curroption, and bad people. However, we have to be wary that we don't want to jeopardise the safety of both Nepali women and the foreign women who solo travel in nepal. One such incident like nirbhaya or the recent doctor incident or the recent bike traveller incident that happened in india would just destroy nepal for years.

the thing is clubbing culture isn't common, most dudes and girls have never been in a night club and would never want to go in a club so when you talking about club then you aren't talking about general population here you are talking about those guys and girls who are much outward and maybe are into hookup cultures and stuff which is rare here sometimes it also depends on ethic groups, some girls of some ethic groups are super conveservative and some ethnic group girls are lil less conservative. and the Friend is holding onto 2 girls because most probably hes a guy friend and not bf and he is not doing that because you're black but just because you're Foreigner not because of white or black or brown. because some girls drink too much and they regret doing it later since again hookup culture is very rare and some families may even disown the girl if they got to know their girl is for the "Streets" fcking around with random boys. So, even when you think many girls giving you signal then its mostly either they just want to flirt and feel that validation but don't want to make out specially with a foreigners they don't want to makeout and specially not one night stand mostly just want to flirt and thats all......because having s*x with stranger or making out in first meet is kinda super uncommon and taboo

They stash cash in their banks accounts and their family’s. There are very few patriots and passionate about development among the ruling class… I want the world to know this. If they had been patriots and passionate about the country there would have given everything for its development. No not at all.. they would run and leave the country if it came to a situation where they would have to choose between living in Nepal and working for it and their cash.

This might be true to you as a black foreigner but as a Nepali, I can tell you that the whole of South Asia is very color/colour conscious - very common for derogatory comments around people being “so Kaalo/dark”. A “dark complexion” is seen as a negative and something to do away with…..just look at the skin-lightening cosmetics all over South Asia - it’s a proper growth industry!!

Racism was unheard of in Nepal until recently. Some Nepalis might have picked it up in the West. But we do have problems like virulent caste-ism (untouchability), xenophobia (mainly anti-Indian sentiments, even though we share cultural and linguistic similarities with our Indian brothers and sisters), and urban people looking down on rural people, and so on. White tourists get special treatment in Nepal -among tourists they are on the top of the totem pole - even though they didn't ask for it. However, It is good to see our black brothers and sisters from faraway countries visiting Nepal. There is some scientific consensus that if we go far back into the misty past, Homo sapiens, the human species to which we all belong, came from Africa.

You raise important points about the forms of discrimination present in Nepal, like caste-ism and xenophobia, which have long been part of our social fabric. While racism may not have been as prominent historically, it’s possible that some biases were influenced by exposure to the West. Regarding our complex relationship with India, it’s worth recalling that Jung Bahadur Rana, in the mid-19th century, reportedly suggested merging Nepal and India under the name “Nepal” during a conversation with British officials. This highlights the longstanding, intertwined histories of our nations, which can sometimes fuel both unity and tension.

Yeah but we are hundreds of years ahead in culture, society, harmony and unity in diversity. Infrastructures can be developed in 5 or 10 years but society as a whole requires hundreds of years of co-existence and assimilation. India will take more than hundred years or it'll simply collapse into multiple countries before that'll happen. Some countries like China had to use force to maintain their desired society by controlling minorities like Tibetan and Xinjiang Muslims. In most western countries, the society is getting worse day by day as new diverse immigrants such as Muslims won't assimilate with the white people's culture. But Nepal has always had very cooperating people. All 131+ ethnic communities easily living together in harmony with the new democratic system. Everyone is proud to be Nepali. Everyone loves the country except current political leaders of course. When better politicians enter the scene then Nepal will develop super fast for sure
