Being charged by a bull moose; what to do if you have a surprise encounter with a moose

The first part of this video is an example of being too close to a bull moose and how quickly they can decide to charge on you. It is from Clear Creek County, Colorado in early August 2021. The individual just by chance came upon the bull walking along a willow bottom heading towards a lake. Thankfully no injuries occurred. This person managed to get behind a tree and the moose hit that when it charged.
The second part is from Guanella Pass in June 2021. It is a breakdown from Wildlife Officer Scott Murdoch on what to do and look for if you have a surprise encounter with a moose. Murdoch was with a Fox 31 TV crew for a story on boreal toads when the group came upon three moose in the willows.

I was bow hunting elk one year and surprised a cow and calf moose who were bedded near by. A big, brown body ran across in front of me at about 25 yards. It was grunting and growling loudly. I thought it was a bear. It turned and ran away from me up a hill. I could then see it was a cow and calf moose. I thought the event was over but the cow had taken her calf to the top of the hill and turned around and came back after me. I immediately jumped into the center of an alder patch that was about 6 feet in diameter and 8 feet tall. I stood like a statue. The cow came running up to about 15 yards away. Her ears were laid back. She was growling, snorting and slobbering. She wanted to stomp me into the dirt. Her head was swinging side to side trying to locate me. She couldn’t find since I was fully camouflaged and standing still. After about 20 seconds she spooked and ran back to her calf never to be seen again. That was close!
