The tech in cars these days is incredible. My parents have never owned a modern up to date car with most modern and technically advanced being a Mk3 Ford Mondeo diesel and has the basic Aux port, electronic adjustable seat height for the front two seats, cruise control and parking sensors but then when I see vids like this it's just like whoa. That in-built rear tablet is pretty neat and the adaptive cruise control is brilliant one thing dad hates about cruise control is that if you're going along a dual carriageway you're bound to come across someone going slower than you in the fast lane and he has to brake then resume the cruise control but to be able just to rely on the car to brake for you and match the speed of the car in front is pretty cool. I do wonder though with all the safety features is it just making car drivers lazy in a way and causing them more to rely on the cars technology than themselves? Obviously it's not made for purposely driving with no hands on the wheel but you're bound to get some drivers just thinking they can and that the car will do the job for them and then if they were to ever drive an older car again with out lane management would they still be able to drive safely without the technology?

I have seen a couple of videos about this new BMW now, and I struggle to understand why almost in every video, the adaptive cruise control and lane assist are highlighted as much as they are. I mean come on, my 2013 Audi A3 got this in a safety package for ~ 1300€. If THAT is so noteworthy about this new 7 series, it only tells me that there is no real innovation at all, besides a huge key with a lagging interface.

Just drove in one of these, my first ever blast on the Autobahn, wow it was the diesel too. Being a BMW fan, I have to say that all this tech is fabulous. But it does get me thinking that with all that much going on, we are starting to get distracted and instead making a tech demo on wheels. Some tech is good but tablets and screens and keys and remote driving is just a bit too far and just means that more things can go wrong. I'm a simple person and perhaps that's why even though I'm born in 1999, my dream car will be a E38 7 series. :)

Been inside of an X6M, and I rather like the interior. Everything seems well put together and the style is extremely modern.

Splash in the uk or somewhere around there the roads are switched and so are the steering wheels
