I'm really sad for Teresa that she experienced being ridiculed for her beliefs when she was younger. I'm not a religious person myself, but I think being tolerant for other people's beliefs and disbeliefs (as long as they don't harm other people) is really crucial to create healthy and happy society :(

I was brought up a protestant and bullied for being Christian in primary school. That made me quite zealotic and distrustful of people since the notion of martyrdom was kind of imbedded in me. Then I transferred, made new friends, got out of my bubble, and simply find out, that moving away from ass***s is all you need to do to be ok. Now I hang out with my atheist friends, go to traditional masses with my catholic friends and I like to discuss theology with all of them.

Thank you for sharing this experience. The Holy Spirit tugged on my heart as a teenager, and I converted to Christianity. I have attended the same church for the past 20 years here in the USA. It is a growing church with roughly 2500 -3000 members two locations in my home state of Connecticut. I will visit Prague and Chomtuv for a few days in June of this year to learn about a ministry there. I am very excited to learn more about the culture. I am glad I found your vlog!

The plot is - Czechia is not much Christian at all. Most of Christians are in Moravia and the percentage you saw includes whole Republic (aproxmately 6 mil Czechs and 3 mil Moravians) So Christians in general are quite exception even though they are more often than makhmetans or budhists or some other religion followers. But yes, they are here also and majority of Christians are Catholics and Husites (czech protestants).

I was born and raised in communist Armenia, where church and religion were highly restricted. After moving to America in 1990 to escape communism, I was raised atheist. Last year Jesus Christ saved me. I am now a true believer of Him and for some reason He is leading me on a pilgrimage to the Czech Republic this summer. I have never been there and do not speak the language, but I'm learning the language diligently. Thank you for this very special video.

@@NashTerezaey, i just saw your video today and thought it is important for me to claeify the diference between a catholic and a protestant. As a fellow protestant, some differences actually stand in salvation and so i hope you know why i write this oong after the video. in short, catholics believe you are saved by faith + works and can lose salvation. We protestant people believe you are saved by Fauth thriugh Grace according to ephesians 2:8-9 and believe we are saved once and for all as Jesus promised that no one will snatch us from Tge Father's Hand Hopefully you have believed that as Bible says - You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. Hallelujah! Thank you for having the courage to make this video. My Czech wife, Hanka, and I are preparing for full time Christian ministry in the Czech Republic. We are 3 years away from full time, but meanwhile we have partnered with a pastor and church CB in Opava with our charismatic church in Arizona, USA. We are opening a Penzion in Horni Lomna in the coming days. Please pray for us, as we hope to turn this into a powerful Christian ministry. We would love to have you as guests when we are there. I want to encourage you to not be afraid to proclaim Jesus’ name when the opportunity presents (like this video!). Never be ashamed though the current is against you. Think about your friends and their salvation (or not) and be bold. I bless you, your blog, and your new-found ministry to boldly proclaim your Christian faith, in Jesus’ name. Next time, I’ll do this in Czech, though currently I’d need a lot of help from my wife. Blessings, indeed.

If my memory is correct, the first incident in a big chain of events occured in the 1400s. A Czech priest criticised the big churches at the time and got beheaded, that caused distrust among the people and led to the decline of religion in Czechia.

For me as Czech, organised religion in some churches is something what I just don't understand. Why religious people need some churches and religion leaders? Why not just believe in god?
@mariendorf19813 жыл бұрын
I’m from Dublin and was raised “Catholic”. I never believed and despised being dragged to mass on Sunday’s. At 16 I had argument after argument with my father and eventually he let me be. Religion has been a blight in Ireland and most people my age are not religious anymore. Notwithstanding, I can see why it would be a comfort to believe and everyone has the right to their own beliefs. It’s just not for me !
@Pidalin3 жыл бұрын
@@mariendorf1981 I have nothing against people who believe in god, I just don't understand why they need some organisation like church where people are saying how you should act as good believer.

@Ondřej Matějka Thank you Ondra for your comment :) . I think only Bible should tell you what is good and not good for you (as a christian), church is more place of supporting each other in faith, praying for each other and minister to people (help the poor and in need, being a community of support and loving approach, etc). At least thats how it was with first christians in bible. 🙏🏻

My Czech is not good enough yet, so replying in English. I so agree with you about religion, yet I am a devout Christian. I grew up Catholic and went through the motions, but it didn’t stick. I strayed very far, yet through crazy circumstances Jesus welcomed me back. Today, I attend a non-denominational Christian church that offers fellowship, encouragement, and Bible-based teaching. You don’t need religion, but having friends who can encourage and help you in your journey is super helpful. Then it will be your turn to disciple others. It’s an amazing journey. I truly encourage you in the name and memory of Jesus and what he did for you and me.

@@SylvanusIbem yes but speaking in tongues is a prophecy from Isaiah 28 Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people I know speaking in tongues is there, however, you need to realise that as this verse speaks of a prophecy that people who weren't willing to listen to Jesus will „hear, but not “ That is why speaking in tongues has only applied there and doesn't bear a meaning anymore and is just being abused to make some people seem gifted.

“One Christian, no Christian.” Russian Orthodox saying. It’s not cool to judge traditional Christians as though they were not ‘about Jesus and the Holy Spirit’. Moravia is the first home of Slavic Orthodox Christians, evangelized by Ss. Kyril & Methodius from Thessaloniki in the IX c. Perhaps many Czechs today do not worship Christ but those who do, in the liturgical manner shared to them by those Equals to the Apostles (εισαποστολοι) know very well Who they worship.
