I was scrolling through pinterest when I found this really great quote by A.W. Tozer , "May God give us the courage to be obedient to His truths in this tragic, critical and dangerous hour in which we live." Its the little reminders like this that remind me who I am serving and it's so relieving knowing God is completely in control, even when i feel like the world is crumbling down on me.

The enemy will try ANYTHING to take your focus away from God the closer you get to God the harder the enemy has to work because he knows he's losing you, he does this by throwing obstacles in your way making you question your faith and almost giving up. The trials that we face are harder when we are in a relationship with God but no matter how hard this we have to stay focused on the lord and the love he has for us.God has your back and will never forsake us, the enemy will flee once he knows you won't give into him.

John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Thank you for this video. I often hear this: we know when we are walking with God when he have trials because either our faith is being tested, we are being molded by the Lord or the enemy is trying to bring us down (which he wouldn't need to do for those who are already walking with the enemy). It is hard. No lie about it. But we must persist.

Hey sis, being a Christian isn't a choice, it's the choice! Being a Christian isn't easy and we can't compare the struggles in this life with eternity. There is no comparison. Also, often being close to God isn't everything going well in our lives it's abiding in Him in all we do regardless of what those around us are doing. Being close to God isn't a feeling either. Sometimes our feelings align with us and sometimes not. Our feelings is not a good indicator of where we are with God. A sincere, authentic, abiding relationship with God is about purity of motive and action in faith. Trials are a part of this life. Remember every day we are surrounded by people with dark thinking and disobedient hearts and they are not believers. We, the light of the world, are filled with faith in Christ and a process of sanctification/purification through growth and maturity in Christ. Bottom line: don't look at the people around you to determine if you're close or far from God. Love ya sis, stand strong, keep persevering, never quit, always walk in peace, love, faith, hope and gentleness. (Following Jesus is the hardest thing Ive ever done in my life! No comparison!)

Okay, so an avant garde, experimental pop, folk feel? There's Gungor (I love the Beautiful Things album), Waterdeep, Josh Garrels, Jon Foreman (who is a part of Switchfoot), Jars of Clay, Page CXVI, Sons of Korah (they sing ONLY the Psalms, so if you wanna learn scripture!), Ascend the Hill, Sojourn, Shane & Shane. I hope this will help you and if you literally hate all of them, lemme know lol.

I'm sorry one last thing not no kirk Franklin either it's like I try to listen to Christiana music but it's so BORING the beat is TERRIBLE it doesn't evoke certain emotions like secular music or get me in a deep trance it's just so....like for old people I don't like that choir music either or contemporary I want to some urban Christan music I don't need to listen to some 40 year old man sing or try to rap about God

Christiana Gaspard Hi, there are different types of gospel music from r'nb to hip hop to reggae to dance hall christian music. search on Spotify and KZbin. I listen to both non christian( don't listen to negativity and bad language) and Christian music.

I'd like to add Tedashii, KB, Canton Jones, Messenja, Tripp Lee, Seven, (hip hop music)..if you like alternative or pop try Kari Jobe, Tori Kelly, Christian Gray is good too, he's more alternative R&B. I'm still finding new music but I can empathize with how you feel I don't like traditional Gospel music that you hear in church its just unbearably boring to me. Tell me what you think of the music!
