Being Fired Without Your Knowledge

There's horror stories of this in the videogame development industry. There was one instance from the guys that made World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment, where they had senior executives show up at the front door at the beginning of the day. When an employee went in to meet them, they would direct them to go to the left or right. If they went left, they kept their job and could continue working. If they went right, they were stripped of their employee badge and shown the door. Problem is...that was not the only way into the building. So throughout the day they had to quickly find employees that went to their desk and worked without their knowledge of being fired, then escort them out.
