I love playing many characters. I like using crafting to equip my characters with good gear. I have a character that can do each of the crafting professions. As a result, I collect a lot of crafting items. A carry-all is an awesome piece of equipment to save a lot of space.

Correction for a couple of things: An account can have only one "normal" or Homestead purchased-with-game-gold house on each server. However, an account can have as many Premium houses as you might care to buy, no limit except your currency and the availability of the houses you want. All your houses have a chest which provides access to Housing Storage. In addition, Premium houses have an extra 25-slot Housing Storage which is for THAT HOUSE ONLY and can be accessed only at that house, it is not like the "regular" Housing Storage which can be accessed at any of your houses or the Shared Storage which can be accessed at any banker NPC (or anywhere if you have subscriber buffs active). See 21:08 in this video where, in Zollin's Kinship House in Belfalas, you can see the 25-slot only-for-that-house Housing Storage (always 25 slots, can't be expanded) and the 105-slot shared-by-all-his-houses Housing Storage (starts with 30 slots, can be brought to 60 slots with game gold, more requires Mithril Coins). Note too that most individual players aren't going to get their own Kinship House other than by joining a Kin (starting one just for personal storage is probably more trouble and currency than it's worth for the average player). I mention this because the Kinship House Housing Storage chest belongs to the account which bought the house which is not necessarily the account which is using the house and accessing the storage - house access and Housing Storage access can be granted to other Kinship members or any other player using the housing controls. And a Kinship can have only one Kinship House of any type, so the one we saw in the Cape of Belfalas and the one we saw later in the video belong to two different Kinships/two different characters (and possibly two different accounts). That's why their Housing Storage contents are different and that part of the video seemed to not match the "rules" for the various types of Housing Storage.

Do you have any tips on how to get storage early on in the game? I'm level 10 right now and desperately need some storage to put a lot of things I think I'll need later, but have no idea how to go about it. The only thing I can think of is starting a kinship and seeing if I can get a kinship house, but that sounds like a huge pain and I'm definitely not ready for that kind of responsibility.

So, you have your inventory that you can increase in lotro store and I believe if you read it, it is account wide. So at some point I would recommend that. Then, you have your vault, and shared storage (can also be increased with in game money and lotro store) then you can as you pointed out get a Kinship house, but another good one is the Carry-alls you can get in lotro store. If, you are a VIP and make the free 500 points a month. I would recommend increasing your inventory slots and also carry-alls. One last thing, that could help you is, make an alt character and anything that is not bound to individual characters you can send to alt to hold onto by using share storage to transfer stuff or mailbox. Hope that helps a bit!

@@VoiceoftheRings I actually got help from a level 50 player who ended up showing me where the vault was in the town I was in. But this is definitely useful to have written down. I did notice though that I don't have access to shared storage and I'm not sure what that's all about. The carry-alls were definitely enticing from when you showed it in the video too.

The Small (10) Crafting Carry-All is 1295, the Medium (25) Crafting Carry-All is 1495, the Large (50) Crafting Carry-All is 1995. The Large is 5x/500% larger than the Small but costs only 54% more. I know if you're saving up LP from deeds that it can be tempting to get a Small or Medium as soon as you have enough points but in the long run it doesn't pay, the Large is a much better value. If you get a Small or Medium carry-all of any type as a bonus from some other purchase, well, mazel tov, it's a bonus, enjoy. But don't buy them as stand-alone items, go for the Large. Remember too that you can pass your carry-alls around among all the characters you have on any one server, use Shared Storage or Housing Storage or mail (mail is not free, it will cost you every time you mail it) to do it.
