Savannah and I take Aurora out to do something fun. It felt like we were practicing to be parents someday. Being parents for 24 hrs is kind of hard. We had a few problems, but I think it went pretty good!

That is really sweet of you to give your parents a hand on Wednesdays! I know we appreciated when our boys got old enough that we could go on dates again. Even if it was too the grocery store! Question - why didn't you put the stroller in the back seat with her? I couldn't see if you had something there already, but was wondering.

Just over a week ago, I got a pass to Auckland Zoo (New Zealand). I just did a short quick walk for a few minutes, but I need to go do a proper one. Much has changed since I was last there.

Love this! That's so nice that you would give your parents a day for day dates every week. You'll learn when it's your turn to be a parent how important those dates are no matter how short or long. You'll be a good dad someday. Don't rush it though. Enjoy Aurora and your siblings! Go on lots of adventures because it's totally different when they are yours and there's no where to drop them off after a long day. You gotta keep going. I look forward to seeing your Wednesday adventures. Maybe you could find some no cost/low cost adventure ideas to share. The zoo is one of them. Get a annual membership and go walk around allot. It's good exercise too. Picnics, bike riding, putt putt, hiking, cooking/baking, crafts, museums, walk around festivals, educational places to visit although by the time she's in school learning about that said she may not remember but she'll have pictures as her memories. Last year on my son's social studies class there were a few places they learned about and we had been to them like that Alamo in Texas and Besty Ross museum, liberty bell in Philadelphia PA. He had pictures and memories to share in class.

Most of my childhood when I was very small was spent with my two older brothers. My mom and dad worked and they relied on my brother's to watch me. Those memories with them are still some of my favorites. They took me to the park and spoiled me endlessly. I'm so proud of Alex and Savannah!

Parenting 101, be prepared to be completely worn-out. Remember ya'll are young, very young many parents don't have as much energy as ya'll do. Plus children are high energy & require 24/7 attention, care & watching. Oh boy the advantage of 5 hours versus a lifelong obligation.

You both are awesome! Aurora will remember this day! I guess first lesson in future parenting is small cars don't work with kids strollers. Unless you use those fold up umbrella strollers.That's what we call them in Canada. They fold in the middle & are more compact in the vehicle.

It is awesome that you and Savannah have chosen to spend time with Aurora on Wednesdays since she's out of school on Wednesdays it's amazing and it gives your parents time off I am so happy that Savannah one is comfortable with your family and wants to spend time this way especially since it was her ideal to do it and that she is now comfortable and being on video I think it's just amazing and it also gives yall parenting practice so that's always a good thing not just parenting practice that it gives yall an ideal of how it would be to have a family and how yall will deal with things being a family unit you might want to invest in a smaller stroller something that will fit into yall's vehicle that Aurora can ride in so that you're not having to carry her when you go on these outings because you already know that the big one the family has does not fit in yall's car so you need something smaller but definitely check with your mom to see if she has a smaller one somewhere before you purchase one in case she has a smaller one put up you never know with her.
