The one statement around the 2:45 mark. "You don't have anything to do today? Go home. Be with your kids." Military "LeAdErShIp" has NO CLUE just how important that one act truly impacts a member. NOTHING kills motivation like sitting around, waiting to go home "just because". He's SPOT ON!!!

But these dudes are actual professionals. My unit and so many other units is full of turds. Like when he said they PT on their own. There was a small percentage of my unit that went to the end of the day to get an actual workout, the rest we're shit. So, that's part of the reasons they don't let people do shit independently, especially not 18 and 19 year olds lol I was in an artillery unit, you needed strength, and yet there was a small few that were trusted. Why would you reward that?

Another thing too is that people think these guys are lethal hand-to-hand combat practitioners like Jason Bourne or John Wick. They get training in it but the mentality overall is “if I’m fighting you with my bare hands, I fucked up”. Not saying these guys aren’t tough or can’t handle themselves, and I’m sure some are excellent in that type of situation, but there is a reason they are so highly trained and skilled with their weapon systems

Oh, fuck off with that elitist bullshit, Pepe. We, the taxpayers, funded everything these men did, and should, within opsec considerations, be availed of the experience they gained and the lessons held therein. Warrior culture has, throughout human history, held men like this, and their exploits, in high esteem. That doesn't happen if people don't share their stories. The only people who don't want you too know what these men do are the pinky-raising, panty-waisted politicians who are too afraid of the blood on their own hands, and too concerned about appearing precious and pure in the next election cycle. The first guy who wrote a book about the bin Laden mission, wrote the book without letting the Navy review it. Which was a violation of his non-disclosure. He ended up having to return all the money he made to a charity, and that kept him out of jail, he went on to produce seal team TV show. This guy did leave without doing his 20 years, which was probably not a smart thing to do because he only had three years left. I don’t know if he’s made enough money on the speaker circuit to make up for the lost retirement.

Could tell he was tough as shit under his nice facade. LOL. Stories he told me about being a SEAL in Vietnam were pretty crazy. Ended up getting attacked while they were on one of their boats going up a river. Proper firefight from Vietkong soldiers on the river bank from what he told me. Shrapnel injury and ultimately medically retired him. His name is on the display at the Navy SEAL Museum in Ft. Pierce that lists operators. But things are different nowadays. I f****** love you guys all every Navy SEAL every military. I'm wondering if you guys a 100%. I just happened to get in trouble at a young age like a idiot, thanks to I really really traumatic abusive childhood from birth of abandonment being dropped on my grandparents doorstep to I don't even want to go there but anyway had I not gotten in trouble and gotten a felony at the age of 17 years old and had I had people around me that no I could have done the pardon to get into the military then I would have done it but it was too late by that point I was pretty f***** up in the head by that point now but aside from all the mental health s*** I could have been a steal I hate to I'm sorry I'm just I'm tough as Nails I've never lost the street fight or a bar fight and I've been in a lot of bar fights I'm just tough as Nails 6'4 240 lb no fat really except for now I'm 49 years old I'm getting a beer got but I'm not necessarily cut either I'm just thick but not too thick because I'm tall and I grew up on a dairy farm and I'm very strong naturally just gifted in every way when it comes to anything I can do anything I don't know how to say it I'm just that guy I just took the wrong f****** road man and it really pisses me off thanks for letting me vent don't give me s*** people thanks appreciate it

I know what it's like to regret life choices. With my childhood I felt I didn't have a chance at a "normal" life. Was full of regret, and resentments. Drinking, drugging very self destructive. I'm in AA for 2.5years and it's unbelievable! It's giving me a life of freedom! Real freedom! I'm close to God and forever grateful! Just wanted you to know you're not alone in those feelings you were sharing. God bless you!

@@SLO_5oh 2010… we had this senior chief (I forget his name now) who was pretty old guy. But everyone would say he was this black ops guy. I don’t know if they were pulling my leg or not, but the stories were hilarious

red carried hatchets, blue was known for skinning more than necessary even though you were supposed to for ID, gold was known to practice hand to hand combat 1v1 vs captured targets who looked challenging and were meant to be killed anyways. AFAIK canoeing was a broad issue. thats about it, black was known for something as well but I forget.

Its weird how you can bw a true hero and deplorable liar at the same time. Remember he said somebody else shot first. The other seal who shot first had been shooting people.in the face all night. So what did he shoot at and he missed at those ranges? No fucking way
