Also Corporate real estate is ruining apartment prices. A regular 1 bedroom unit should never be more than $500 - $600. I'm not talking a ritzy upscale luxury apartment. I mean a 1 bedroom with a kitchen unit and bathroom and MAYBE a living area, should be not be more than $600 in the USA. Because minimum wage is nothing compared to minimum rental rates here.

The problem is if you own such a property the insurance, roof, HVAC or other repairs will easily cost your annual rent. My roof for instance will cost about 25,000 for my house. A mini split install 6-8k just had estimates. Couple mid grade garage doors 4000. Add in mortgage & property taxes & permits & business registration requirements & taxes & special accountants...they don't get a lot. The people that do this as a business hustle to get there. I had the opportunity to learn from someone doing it over a year. People move in & don't pay, they trash the place, $1000s in repairs. The answer is raising the rent to recoup costs & get better tenants. Poor people tend to do things that keep them poor, if they care, have skills, dedication they won't be poor forever. Example charge 4000+ rent. The qualities a person has to have to maintain that income generally has to be pretty high unless its an only F or meme like hawk t, those might be a few exceptions. More commonly you'd expect a programmer, drs, lawyer, engineer. Those type of people generally have some level of organization, cleanliness, care for their stuff. If people charge $100 rent you'll inevitably get people that are so broke because they spend on drinking, drugs, etc. none of which is good as a landlord. I was poor, it took a lot of work for me to escape poverty...it wasn't over night. I'm over 15 years in of solid work history & no college education. I actually will be able to retire early if I can maintain a fraction of momentum. And I'm not even making $25hr yet.

We absolutely can not allow them to adjust food pricing. The guy was talking about digital pricing. Imagine going to the store knowing something is a dollar fifty cents, and you get there, and it's two bucks because of the time or because the supply is low. We should not have to pay for that. That's not inflation; that's 100% greed.

@Gamerz00760
@Gamerz00760 Ай бұрын
The best thing I learned was to figure out how to save one pay period. Put it in another bank. Have your direct deposit to that bank as well. If you make 2000 every 2 weeks try a direct deposit of say $900 every week to your primary spending account. Now you get paid weekly. Completely ignore the other account where all money goes in. One day you'll have all that left over in the other account for an emergency in addition to getting paid weekly. I did this with bills too. Billing account. Set everything on a budget plan you can get. If your minimum is $1000 a month in bills you need to deposit $250 each week to have your basic bills covered or 500 biweekly Bills that change like food, gas, other...that account gets leftover. If you have any spare change you could create another account for savings. You might ask why have 3 or 4 banks??? One availability of funds Separating accounts removes the stress of bills. You know exactly what you have to spend on gas & food. You have a savings account building little by little. In the case of the billing account I recommend contributing $25 minimum extra each week to account for price increases, obviously the more the better. Generally you have 2 or 4 more pay periods than actual bills. So at the end of the year you should have a few 100 or more saved at a minimum. If you get a bonus annually use it to pay insurance, phone plan, property taxes for the year. You recoup the costs by not having to pay them out of your paycheck & usually a discount is applied for annual payments vs monthly. I know my phone & insurance save me at least $100. I literally have 3 bank accounts. My billing account pays everything important, I know money goes in specifically for rent & utilities. Last account is savings.

Bi-weekly pay had been an outdated system for decades now. The reason; Deaths. The company you work for gets to keep your last check if you pass away, it cannot be claimed or cashed by anyone but a your wife/husband. Most people are not married. They refuse to give up the bi weekly pay period because they cash in on it everytime someone dies before getting paid. Pure evil is ruling our country.

I am a landscaper. I mow the lawns of mega mansions and million dollar vacation homes nobody even visits once all year. The vast majority of the lawns I mow all summer are seen by nobody, because the owners never even visit once all season. These vacation homes are three times the size of most people's regular houses, and very very modern and expensive. Cobblestone walkways, in ground pools, in ground hot tubs, tennis courts, gargantuan luxury style fire pits, bus-sized brand new RVs that never even move, lines of 4 wheelers and dirt bikes, classic cars, you name it, they got it, and they don't even live there, these are secondary fun-houses to them. These vacation homes would blow your mind and 1000 new ones pop up every single year here. I make 20 dollars an hour. I was born into poverty in a super Rich vacation town in Maine. It's time for Fire and Pitchforks.

That one guy living in his car says he makes twice the federal minumum wage for a skilled position. That is only $15/hr. Either he does not have a skilled position, or he is being massively taken advantage of. I work in a warehouse, and we have 19-20 year olds and this is only their 2nd job in life, and earning $19.75/hr to start. This man has a big income problem. Most of us are shorted on income, but to say you have a "skilled position" and only being paid $15/hr is a big problem. I honestly wouldnt even leave my house for only $15/hr, of course I am 42 years old now. My issue is there are 19 year olds at my work earning only a few dollars per hour less than I am paid, and I have 26 years of work experience.

People are not being paid their worth, so I 100% believe him. Also consider cost of living varies state to state, so $15 if you don't have the right degree, resume gaps, [demographic information here] in a state like Florida, makes sense. Yeah he's a white guy, let's throw an extra dollar or two for being born that way - $17. You'll get paid more doing labor than a desk job, so maybe he should look into doing a warehouse job or getting a trade of some kind. But again, you at 42 wouldn't leave your house for $15 -- you have a house. That young man is in his car. $15-$17 is better than zero. That is what the job market realistically looks like for a lot of people right now. Experience/loyalty doesn't matter to companies as much as it used to. It does as a negotiation tactic to refuse raises to younger people, but if they can hire someone younger for a few dollars less instead of paying into your salary knowing you've rightfully earned more as an almost 30 year employee with a 401k and sick time etc, they're going to do it because it's more cost efficient in the long run.

The problem is your credit has to be solid GOOD CREDIT 600+, AND you also have to have money in each person account, THOUSANDS to show the bank that they can trust you to lend money to. And any building above 5 units is considered commercial, meaning there are different requirements to buy it. Splitting a property that many ways is always going to be an issue...people have loss of family, jobs, don't feel like working etc. And you can't just REMOVE that person from their ownership, but you HAVE to foot the bill for the mortgage that they don't want to pay. You can't kick and OWNER OUT. It doesn't work like that. You're barking up the WRONG TREE, family or friends, or strangers. Do it yourself, or don't do it at all. What you're talking about isn't smart financially and will lead to ruin because other people aren't you. On paper, it looks great, but just like socialism it doesn't ever work because PEOPLE. I shouldn't have to share something I WORKED FOR AND PUT MY MONEY INTO with someone who didn't work for or put their money in. That's why socialism doesn't work. We don’t take vacations when we can’t pay rent and maintain a car. If you can’t pay for a 1k emergency right now and still make all bills then your a** shouldn’t be on a vacation. You simply can’t afford it and that is why you are struggling so much and the smart financially literate folks will make it out of this rut in one whole piece. I haven’t taken a vacation since before the pandemic, but I’ve also been grinding and was able to increase my salary over 30k and about to go to school to increase it even more. My next vacation will hit very different, but in the meantime I have plenty of free time and peace because I don’t have kids pulling me in different directions. You have to be comfortable being uncomfortable. I gave up a beautiful apartment to downgrade a bit and live with a sibling so my rent is under 1k. One thing that surprised me about the grocery chain price gouging admission by ceo was looking at company finances they were billions in debt with inability to pay debt without raising prices higher. I'm not sure why CEO even claimed price gouging... don't you have to be profitable first? Most corporations are massively in debt, they have assets that let them do the same as ordinary people do. You work a 40k job but get a 300k house loan & 40k car. The corporations are doing the same but with billions, exxon, amazon, Walmart to name a few. Walmart $1 raise is 40 million an hour...do the math for a year, where will that money come from? People who already can't afford stuff at Walmart. I invest so reading financials are important... I am concerned businesses are in trouble, big corporations you wouldn't think of are failing to make a profit.

@@jericherry3374 Form 10-Q on businesses filings with SEC. Most these businesses are a few slow months away from being financially at risk. It will be like the 08' crash & bailouts that followed. It is like this say you make 50,000 gross. You could say you profited 30,000 after taxes & benefits like a company does, they say we made a profit. But to keep operations going they have to reinvest, hire more fix things. Like a person does, they run up debts to do it. Amazon they talked about not paying taxes in the past, but when interest & loans cost more than you're keeping in cash how can you be taxed? You're losing money. I compare debt to cash on hand reading reports & most have billions in debts, most people too lazy to read the boring stuff. This means $1.00 price increase on everything would do nothing for the business or emplyees. Hidden payroll tax, matching benefits, paying debt + small raise would be about breakeven at best. CEOs & the rich like bezos their income of millions often is not paid by the company profits, but rather company stock. Tied to ETFs like the s&p500, there are multiple ETFs all modeling same portfolio of companies. The rich CEOs are largely rich because of investors, retirement accounts. One thing that I do see should change is the shareholder payouts when a company has debts. Thats what is driving ceo wages over the top. At the same time it is also what allows everyone to keep their job. When investors make a company stock worth say 1 trillion the company can borrow money to keep running business. The best way to attract more investors is paying them some level of profits. However it appears many are going downhill.

The lady at 6:15 needs to leave the country if she dislikes the currency obtaining and financial, independently building model here. Nothing is keeping her here I take it, and if it's so distasteful, well, life is too short to be unhappy so have at it. Leave. She should go to Venezuela. They adopted socialism, FULL ON, about twenty five years ago and they're taking in new residents. I seriously hope she considers it so she can escape the horrors of capitalism that built and sustains this country. Without capitalism, she wouldn't be sitting in the car (if it's hers) and she wouldn't have that phone she's recording on, because they'd either be not available to her, so junky that they wouldn't work, or they'd be so expensive she'd not be able to afford either of them. You see, capitalism makes things - products and services - not only cheaper, but much, MUCH better due to competition. I have learned that instead of complaining about not having enough money, you're better off reassessing your spending and about 99% of the time you can make adjustments to make things affordable each month, as in cutting out a few things you really don't need. Life is all about choices; where to live, what to buy, to have or NOT have kids, what, if any, type of car to buy. She's not smart enough to understand that? She thinks that the "evil" corporations just suddenly wanted to make killer profits the past four years, but under Trump they were happy just making less? LOL. She can't see the correlation between the past four years and inflation? She's not bright enough to put two and two together to "figure out" that the inflation was manipulated and directly caused by Biden's soaking the economy with worthless dollars, AKA quantitative easing in 2021, which LITERALLY caused the devaluation of the dollar, thus high inflation. LOL.

My only child son is 42 is a barber owning his own place and lives in California and doing the same things that I did. Ma'am, it's wonderful that you and your family are financially secure, but this comment is so tone deaf. "THEY": **Teachers and college recruiters that said if you go to college and get a degree, you'll get a job that pays well enough to sustain a stable lifestyle. Jobs providing a financially stable lifestyle - period.** You did not have a degree, but most jobs require that you do in order to make a wage that will keep you above water. Everyone is not going into insurance. Everyone is not cut out for a trade. Some people are actually passionate and talented at the careers they chose that require degrees, and had to take out a loan of some kind to achieve that dream because if they wanted until they could pay for college out of pocket, they'd never be able to go. It is not their fault if a career that was once lucrative and promised returns is no longer so in 2024. There are plenty of videos on this channel of people getting fired from job where they did everything right. **Employers that said the position offers opportunities for growth, competitive wages, and compensation that matches your skillset. ** You were in Insurance for 30 years -- 1) an industry that takes money from people and makes them jump through hopes to receive it when needed and 2) most job sectors are not that secure now - loyalty isn't' rewarded the same it was before - you have to jump positions if you want to increase your wages over time. People who were not born in the same era as you have the right to voice their grievances even as they're learning from them. Jobs are not your friend, but you're painting them as such because yours worked for you. One size does not fit all. **Politicians and Gvt. figures that said if you pay your taxes and work your job, you can retire at a reasonable age and live off your retirement fund and social security that you've spent your life paying into** This is a big one, because wonderful you retired financially set for life. Some people got wiped out in 2008. Or during a hurricane. Or weren't able to save as much as you did because they had to pay off a home or bury a loved one -- whatever. But people still paid and are paying into their Social Security, and now they may not even have that. Is that fair? Are we going to assume people who benefit from something they paid into did something wrong for expecting to have that along with their retirement? IF people now don't have retirement and are too old to invest with enough time to make enough gains, and won't have social security, how are they supposed to live currently AND save. Is this still based on decisions THEY made, if they can't get hired or convince their bosses to pay them more? Comparing your situation to those in the video is not empathy. It's scolding and bootstrap mentality. These people are trying and you're telling them what they should have done as if they can replicate your exact scenario.

Umm, that LADY talking about landlords jacking prices up is talking bs it COSTS MONEY AND LOTS OF IT SAVED TO BUY THAT APARTMENT BUILDING THAT SHE LIVES IN AND DIDN'T BUY. Clearly she lives in one owned by a SLUMLORD there's a big difference. Landlords have a MORTGAGE TO PAY, THEY HAVE THE WHOLE BUILDINGS WATER BILL TO PAY, SEWAGE TO PAY, HEATING OIL TO PAY, REPAIRS WHICH CAN BE AS LITTLE AS A FEW HUNDRED TO OVER $60,000+ EVEN $100,000 SHOULD THEY PASS THAT COST TO THE TENANT TOO? Or should the tenats STFU become they don't have to for those things and their RENT doesn't pay for those things. The landlord budgeting and saving properly or taking out a loan does. And 9 time out 10 THE TENANTS ARE THE ONES WHO CAUSE THOSE EXPENSIVE PROBLEMS THE LANDLORD THEN HAS TO FIX. You think during covid when tenats were allowed to screw over landlords by not paying rent that helped anyone when those people were blowing that money on useless crap they didn't need? They weren't even buying necessitates they were buying things that were luxuries they couldn't afford. Not all landlords are RICH PEOPLE DIPSTICK. They just learned to save and budget better than you so they can have something to give their children for thier future. Its sacrifice and saving. Just like tenats can't be lumped into the same boat neither can landlords. My husband and I have not even raised our tenants rent through the entire RISE in cost of living. You also seem to FAIL in recognizing that TO FIX SOMETHING COSTS MONEY AND HIRING SOMEONE WHO COSTS MONEY TO GET MATERIALS THAT COST MONEY. LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY DUE TO DEMAND THOSE PRICES GO UP, DUE TO PEOPLE WANTING MORE MONEY FOR WORKING TO HIRE THE PERSON TO DO THE WORK COSTS MORE MONEY PER HOUR JSUT TO FIX SOMETHING THAT THE TENANT DOESN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR. Literally stafu because you have no idea what you're even talking about. The cost of EVERYTHING has gone up so fixing something is more expensive for a landlord too, its not free for us so NO its not free for you. We have lived in apartments we have been where you are and you decided to make different decisions in life, no one held you at gun point and demanded you live the life you're living. You CHOSE THAT. He who doesn't WORK doesn't EAT. And likewise can live on the streets. Nothing in life is free so stop expecting people to give a break when they don't get breaks themselves.

Please please PLEASE do not do what the last girl is doing. Food scarcity is not a fun challenge, and turning it into copium opens the door for the Gvt to say "Oh? Bet," and think its some big joke when everyone tries to tell them WE LITERALLY CANT AFFORD FOOD. Also, running down your pantry is the dumbest thing to do, because who KNOWS what will happen in a week from now, days from now? She would have to replenish the entire thing from scratch for possibly triple the price, with what money (bc its the same money whether she puts it aside or spends it in real time), and now with the dynamic digital pricing? This is not the time to play.

People like to say change is coming just wait for the downfall. But I’m like ummmm…. Don’t the fall do the bizantine tale 1000 years? The downfall doesn’t necessarily happen in one life time 🫥
