They need to backtrack the ability to patent breeds of plants or animals. It's going too far. How much worse will it have to be for this to change?

This has to do with MONSANTO and BIG AGRICULTURE, not every farmer, every seed... These seeds are specific seeds that were GENETICALLY MODIFIED.... Instead of growing these PATENTED SEEDS that are GENETICALLY MODIFIED, why don't these farmers plant Heirloom seeds so that they can save the seeds and regrow the plant next season?.... MONSANTO seeds allow these farmers to spray poison on the crops to kill pests / weeds without killing the plant... That said, these farmers are helping to kill you by serving you their fruits / veggies loaded with CANCER CAUSING PESTICIDES / HERBICIDES.... I'm MORE ANGRY about THAT....

Hate to say it but they may have to start regulating the hiring process. Businesses posting dummy jobs to test the talent out there;. rigorous applications processes; companies using applicants to do work for them under the guise of 'show us what you can do', etc. etc. I swear there's a bunch of dummies in HR and recruitment agencies. A lot of what they do to people should be illegal. Plus they are stripping people of their pride, leading many to contemplate suicide. This is not what life is supposed to be about. Everyone should have a right to a job, housing and food, with enough left over for enjoyment. Every young person's goal has been to get a job, start a family and get a house. What is this doing to the younger people and society as a whole. Something is corrupt somewhere when those in power can take advantage of everyday people.

If any company tries to do this bs in India, they get screwed a new one by the Indian supreme court (one of few times I agree with Supreme Court). Take the case of your golden arches company against farmers in India. Mikey D tried to sue potato farmers by saying that some of Indian potato farmers were growing a similar variety, Supreme Court of India said "Kiss our ass" (not directly) saying that the research that McD put in to get the low water quantity potato could easily be cross-breed by farmers under natural course of things. There have been many similar cases.

Speaking of baskets. I also collect and use baskets. I fill them with preserves and canned goods and give those out for presents. I ask for the basket and jars back, and then reuse them the next year for more gifts. Most people I know don't need anything. Its so easy to get cheap goods and many of us have just crammed our lives with stuff. I want to gift people healthy food using reusable containers. Cuts way way down on waste and helps keep them out of the grocery stores.

Rent prices are crazy! I was just looking for places to move and everything half decent for a 1 bedroom was 1600 a month. I lucked out and found a nice spacious 1 bedroom for $1200 a month with utilities, cable, internet and laundry included. Thank you God!

I believe that rule is only for commercial farmers, if you're just growing to feed yourself and your family, not selling any of it, it should be fine. Most farmers are only growing specific crops to fulfill the contracts that they made with businesses. Fruit and vegetables can change over time if the seeds from last harvest are used in the future, some might be sweeter or firmer for example. That's not a problem for people growing their own food, but companies want consistency and having farmers buy new seeds instead of saving seeds and reusing them is one way that they get that. I think that sueing because of accidental crossbreeding on farms is ridiculous though.

I thought this was common knowledge but I guess not. This practise of crop patents have been around for decades. I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada's breadbasket. I know a farmer that his neighbours crops seeds had blown over from wind onto his crop and those seeds grew. Somehow, Monsanto heard about it amd simce this farmer didn't sign a contract with them, Monsanto sued that farmer which accused of stealing but was a result of wind. Because big corporations have control on judges, Monsanto won and that farmer lost his farm. A farm that was passed on from generations. True story.

I deleted my amazon prime account back in Feb 2024 after they announced they were going to be raising the yearly cost. I honestly don't miss it. It was very addicting to be constantly scrolling on that app. I go to target or ulta or buy direct from the manufacturer now. I write things down that I need/want or screen grab and check it every couple days to weeks to see if I need it, want it, sparks joy etc. Then when I'm decided on buying I'll wait for a sale or price compare to get the best deal. There are just maybe 5 things per year or less that I still need to use amazon for and I'll make sure I have the minimum for free shipping (which is I think $35) and shipping takes longer but if you plan in advance there is no need for rush shipping anyways. Getting rid of amazon has saved me so much money! Great video!

Most olive oil is fake. Think of how many olive trees you would need to make one bottle. If it is cheap, it is probably fake oil, like canola oil. I would choose real Irish or Dutch butter. I am from Belgium so I use Kerrygold, Rochefort or Carlsbourg.
