I've watched your videos constantly since just before you entered the first community. You've helped me discern through changing jobs twice this last year and a half. Maybe it's because we're the same age, but I had to reach out and say thank you for being a contemplative, youthful, and approachable voice for the Christian path(s). Have an amazing day and journey.

I'm so glad I found this as I watched all your previous videos and them presumed we'd not hear from you again. Your discernment process helped me in mine as I feel called (at 63) to the Single Consecrated Life and am now actively praying my way through this and expect to apply in the next few months. God bless you.

How lovely to find a new video from you, Sr Lizzie! I only found it a week after you posted it, but have been holding you in my prayers for over a year now. Wishing you blessings galore on this next stage of your journey. I love your Novice Guardian's advice! Thank you for this and all your videos; in my late 60s and married, I still find inspiration from all you say and are. xx

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Thank you so much for all your comments. I'm excited to have learnt that several people have felt inspired to explore religious life having watched these videos. To respond to your requests, I would love to make more videos. Firstly I need to get permission because obviously obedience is important in religious life. Secondly, there is the issue that this channel is primarily about exploring Anglican religious life in general while trying to keep the specific communities I've been exploring with anonymous. It's quite tricky to make more videos about my discernment journey while preserving that anonymity. What I 'm doing is a bit pioneering in the world of Anglican religious life so communities will be a bit cautious of KZbin and what I'm trying to do. A Sister making videos about her life as a Sister would need the consent of her community and even if they were positive about the idea, they might ask me to wait until I'm further into discernment and formation myself. We need to be patient and trust that if its God's will, I'll be able to make more videos in the future. While we wait to see if I can make more videos one day, if you've been helped by these videos or if you have further questions or suggestions of what you would find helpful in future videos, please write your thoughts in the comments section. I can then show your comments to those above me. It will help those in Anglican religious life to learn what people are asking (and it might help me in getting permission to make more videos one day). Wherever you are and whatever you feel called to, God bless each of you on your own journeys. Sr Lizzie x

I found you quite by chance but I watch and re watch your postings. As a 56 year old grandmother I might not seem to have a lot in common but your quiet confidence and faith is uplifting and helps me in my faith journey. I hoped you would eventually post a progress vid. Congratulations Sister Lizzie, would it be asking too much for a picture of you in your new habit? Love and prayers to you.
@anglicansisterjourney8695 жыл бұрын
Hello. I haven't shown me in full habit as I'm deliberately preserving the anonymity of the communities. I've put a thumbnail of me in veil for you though! X

Lizzie congratulations on entering the noviciate this afternoon! I’m so excited to see you uploaded again & that you have found God’s place for you at this stage in your journey. You might never read this but I just wanted to say thank you for your videos- I am a 28 year old Anglican in London UK who is discerning religious life at the moment (I will be doing three weeks as an Alongsider with some Sisters in December) and your videos have helped me a lot! I will be praying for you today! Sam x

I have a few questions about becoming a nun and having a disability. 1) can a non catholic become a nun? 2) can a person with a disability become a bride of Christ?
@christinebutler76303 жыл бұрын
To the best of my knowledge, Roman Catholics, Orthodox and Maronite Catholics, and Anglicans (Episcopalians) have orders of nuns and sisters. You do have to be a member of whichever church the order is a part of.
