Finally, someone with sense! I'm 25, and also live in Houston. I do not go to clubs, never have. It is difficult to find people our age trying to live "right". I tell people all the time, I like to have fun, but a certain kind of fun. As far as relationships, I believe God will send me the desires of my heart when HE feels it is time. I want to be married and then have a baby, just old traditional values. Until then... I'm focused on becoming a homeowner, getting my masters, growing my hair longer lol, traveling, & learning different languages, so I feel you girl.

I love it when young people live for God. The devil seeks to destroy us and so he throws awful thoughts in our minds about sex is good and if you aren't having sex you are lame or whatever. God has so much more for us as long as we are faithful. The world is so wrong everybody tends to want to fit in and do what everyone is doing.

I agree with soo much of what you're saying, Im only 15 and deal with the daily struggle of always feeling like I need to have a boyfriend or be "talking " to someone. However I know my purpose in God and that He has an amazing plan for me. Thank God! someone on youtube who is a Christian and actually shows it. You are very wise. I am 24 and you think the same way I thought when I was your age and still do. When i was high school ann early years of college people around me were always in relationships, but I wanted who God wanted for. I ended up getting married at 22 to who God had for me and I am grateful EVERYDAY that I didn't choose for myself. Thanks for this video. I've had problems all my life with bad marriages and relationships. Over the past three years, I've been convicted to stay single. I don't know if I always will, be it Gods will only, but I believe that the people we hang with, the crowds we are around, will move our paths in that direction. I'm VERY careful of who I associate with. I pray for all, and I minister to many, I don't judge anyone, but I don't hang with just anyone. I hang out mostly with those who are SOUND Christians. That's hard to find. I'm 58 years old. I've had near a lifetime to learn this. Unfortunately, it took that long for me. However, I STRONGLY urge young ppl to pay attention to who they hang out with and who they associate with, as to who they are going to spend the rest of their lives with regardless of if they ever marry again. God will chose your mate or and even your friends, if we let Him.

I was exactly like you a few months ago but I slowly became tired of upholding my standards, people asking me why I never went out or did anything, why I never dated, etc. I felt more & more isolated & just tired of it. So I lowered my standards & basically said "F it" & I got caught up in a lifestyle I was trying to get out of. got caught up with a guy & completely left God. The one thing I told myself I never would do-- forget God-- that's exactly what I did. I am now starting to get back into my relationship with Him again but it's very very difficult. I wish I never left & I feel really disappointed in myself. I feel like I have to do all the work I was doing AGAIN, like I have to start all over. I thank God for calling me back to Him with open arms, but I'm at a difficult place right now. Dealing with the guilt and disappointment in myself. If you have any advice or prayers I would really appreciate it

Hey there,the first step would be to forgive yourself ,the past is in the past,also fix your eyes on Jesus,remember God loves and He's ready to help you,you just have to ask Him for help. Surround yourself with uplifting verses of who you are in Christ,for the devil attacks identities with his famous tools of guilt and condemnation.It won't go at once but persevere.At any point you fall,just get up and continue running,no looking back. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are contrite in spirit. Phillipians 3:13-14,hope this helps

This was so encouraging and just what I needed to hear! I am 22 and have been single all my life. If I am being honest, I have always felt that life was passing me by because my standards are too high. Watching this has helped me to refocus and realize that there is really nothing that I can do or nothing that I should have to do in order to meet the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. It was encouraging to hear you say that God will present to you someone so much better than what you might try to go out there and "find on the streets!" Sometimes God brings you to a place where its seems impossible for x,y, or z to happen but it's in those moments where He allows your doubts to die and your faith to live so that you can be a testimony for the next person in a similar situation! It may be hard to be single right now and in this society but I know that if my standards are from the Lord they are blessed. The enemy may continue to place doubt into my mind but he can't curse what God has blessed. I'm holding on to the blessing! I love your channel, I'm so glad I found it!

Omg, I’m so glad I ran across your videos. I just turned 23 and I am on my journey trying to get closer God. I have always went to church but never really tried to live for him. Since Ive been in the Bible and trying to live like the lord wants me to live, I’ve realized that I can’t hang around some of the people that I have been because I don’t want to be tempted to go back to how I was. My friends and even family members are now looking at me differently because of how I’m changing. It’s so nice to see that there are people my age that is doing whatever they can to live for the lord! I really needed this! God has been speaking to me about a boyfriend I've been going back and forth with. It's a relationship that clearly wasn't healthy and I've recently found myself trying to "make" him follow God and "make" him the man that I think I deserve. Even though we have a child now I feel completely drained by just keep making this work. I know that the Holy Spirit within me is constantly telling me that this is something I need to stop! I need to give him to God and focus on my relationship with God. Insightful vidro. I'm a single 38 yo mom. It's not always easy but God promises that He will provide all we need incl. Emotional needs and He does! Our job is to put Him and His righteousness first giving Him the chance to mold us for His glory and purpose. He knows us way more than we know ourselves and only wants what's best for us. His love and grace delivers us from the need to be loved by the world or a companion. He will bring us the right person when the time is right. In my experience it is very hard to find a real Christian good man who's not out just for themselves. But with God all things are possible if it's His will. What a great Father we have.

I'm glad I found your page I'm 25 and I just had a breakdown cried my eyes out because I have struggled between getting right with God and being in the world and i prayed and prayed days before asking God to show me what I need to do and I was doing things because I was looking for love in the wrong place listening to guys and wanting that relationship. Thank you Leah. It is this version of you ,that was developing and growing in Christ and into the woman that you are becoming, that made me step in the next chapter in my life. I am approaching my 21st birthday and I have been overwhelmed with the idea of the kind of adult I am becoming and I realised that I haven't been living my life the right way. I haven't been living my life the Christ-centered way. I'm done with what society's expectation is of me . I like your honesty-and yes I believe we should talk about this more-I especially love when you say: I'm separated but that means He is drawing me closer to Him-now that is revelation! I 100% agree but you said it perfectly-and there is a difference between being lonely and alone-when we spend time with God we learn to be alone and depart from internal loneliness that comes from finite sources i.e. random relationships-nice word-and keep waiting-its worth it!
