This is very calming and feels like a cbbc documentary which is nostalgic as most home education videos feel very american. I appreciate how hopeful this is and gives real examples. I like the approach of the first mum with looking back on what they might not have covered in the curriculum of local schools without pressure to check off subjects but rather 'follow the child' and see what we can do to help them in areas that they aren't progressing in much. I hope to follow Montessori curriculum which is basically freedom within a prepared environment with work that is just difficult enough to engage the child so they can master the skills they are working on. I am looking forward to meeting other home education families in our are once we start hopefully to go on into the primary stage if my husband comes to see the benefit of it. You will never regret the time you spent with toy child and that is the most beautiful opportunity from this approach which i hadn't thought of until last week when i heard how much a mum missed out on the life of her daughter who passed away suddenly and i appreciated the chance this approach gives to us for us to be together as a family no matter how complicated and difficult it gets.

I just found your video. You deserve so many more viewers. Good job. I am mama of four and we home educate from five years and we wouldn't have any other way.

Wow! This is a fantastic, well put together documentary! You have done so well and have portrayed Home Education in a really good light. It was an honest look at what home education is like here in the UK as well as touching upon what is happening abroad. You are so correct; home educators come from different backgrounds, have different learning styles and teach in different ways but this is the same with schools and education in general. Not all schools are the same! I will be sharing this. All the best.
