True. Gfred itself has become a sport. Some people practice it almost daily. One of the things I look forward to with GTA 6, new version of Gfred, that nobody knows and everybody is equally shit at lmao

@@DanniV8 Isn't gonna happen. It has nothing to do with Gfred becoming a sport or some people practicing daily. People like RBS and Verdilith win a lot of other races as well, from cannonballs to meme races and regular races. It's not a coincidence that RBS won yesterday's third Dune meme race for example. These people just have better reflexes, faster reaction times and make quicker decisions than the rest of us. They're just better, that's all.

I've seen quite a few messages about RBS, & although I understand some peoples frustration, it's not his fault (as such). I (genuinely) am one of the fastest Daytona USA arcade machine drivers in the world, so I get what it is like to be good at something. The raging if he gets taken out is naturally going to happen, but it does mean that things have crossed that line from fun to serious - and that's just not what the race was created for. I know he's also done plenty of solo GFREDS to try & be the best, & with that comes the knowledge of what works to get the best results. The only thing I find frustrating is stuff like from a couple of months ago when we found out that certain speed-runners were inboxing Broughy because something had negatively affected their race. Thus... Broughy had to make considerations about how best to move forward with it. I dont want to see people 'nerfed' as such, but I do want to ask Reece a genuine question... What would your times be if you didn't brake boost, or use in-game flags to assist? I bet you're still ahead of us all 🤣

Only speaking for myself, but the viewing experience for these gfreds drops considerably when TWO people are in it.. when you have TWO really good gfred players always playing, it takes all the fun out of who could win. The winner won by TWO whole minutes. No one had a chance to win this. 😔😒

I am curious, what do you think Broughy should improve in order to be competitive again? I think his "start to highway/getting the first car" is his weakest part. As in levels of "remember when the AP jump was a threat?" kind of weak.

He doesn't need to improve a whole lot to be honest. Being near the front at the highway is an absolute must if you want a good chance at winning, so the start is probably the key one to practice. Then it's just practicing a couple of the key transitions like the Chilliad descent and hail Mary. Aside from that his driving is usually pretty good. Broughy knows this though, it's just a case of when/if he gets the desire to practice

He is quite capable of doing "the combacks" just imagine if he could get to the highway in a better position.

@@ArgKnoxville86 exactly. A lot of people in these comments assume I'm doing something superhuman or unachievable but it's really not the case. Aside from a few key areas, most of a Gfred is pretty basic driving skill. Practice the key areas and you'll be doing sub-18 minute Gfreds consistently, which will be enough to win most Broughy stream Gfreds.

​@@ArgKnoxville86 yes exactly, it's just practice. There's a whole seperate community of people on discord who enjoy Gfred and there are events hosted on multiple platforms regularly. Plus there's the few of us that go for world records and stuff, though I've kinda taken a step back from that recently as I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. It's just a group of people having fun with a race they enjoy, and some of us have gotten pretty good at it as a result.

I'm so sick and tired of people in the comments complaining about the same handful of people always winning Gfreds. Someone clearly forgot to tell them that this is how the world works. In everything there are always a few people that are better than all the rest. I know that in some people's world of participation trophys and equity this is hard to accept, but here you have it. Talent is still a real thing, deal with it.

Finally someone with sense in here 😂 it's the same people who complain constantly about the same handful of people usually winning random alls. Surprisingly, in a community based on racing, there are some people who are quite good at it. People love to claim the races shouldn't be taken seriously, but then in the same breath cry about who wins the race - so literally taking the race seriously. If you're taking part and complaining that you can't win - get better. If you aren't taking part and complaining about who wins - why on earth does it matter to you?

@@anthonyfaccaro7118 Yet it is real life. It may be a videogame, but the people playing it are very real. Some people get rich playing moba's and rts; is that not real life either? Are they not real people raking in real money? The only difference between them and the people driving Gfreds is that they're the professionals and the GTA players the amateurs. Just like you have a football league for the big guys who get paid millions and the scrubs who win a crate of beer if they manage to pull off a win. Everything gets monopolized, especially anything competitive. In F1 Max Verstappen has been dominating for the past 4 years. In rally Sebastien Ogier won everything between 2014 and 2021. Tennis has people like Nadal and Djokovic, cycling currently has Van der Poel who wins almost every race he starts in. People are still 'wasting their free time' (and a lot of money) on it, so I guess the masses are clearly proving you wrong on that point. But anyway, if you really believe this isn't real life, why on earth are you so upset about it?
