I got placed last year August through college campus, and till this day Im on bench, didn’t earn a single penny and although I have more than enough knowledge in my field as a fresher but the job market is so tough that it seems impossible to land a job…….. I am struggling quite a lot but this video was so comforting ❤, thanks a lot for sharing this…….. when u said “everyone on KZbin seems to be at the top of their game and I didn’t relate to anyone” trust me THIS exact thing happened to me but you are the first person I relate with. Thanks for the video.

Thank you so much for your comment, and I’m so glad you felt you could relate. Quite difficult to find that now right? Have you thought of something you could do on the side using your skills while you look for a job? Maybe something you’ve always thought of doing but never had time/energy for?

@@shermeenv I love to draw and animate…….. but honestly my entire day just goes by applying to jobs, doing leetcode and trying to learn new tech skills ……. Although I do really want to spend time with my hobbies and passion, but as a middle class family child with increasing financial stress and pressure from my parents, I just can’t afford to do it cause if I ever get the interview call, I can’t ruin my only shot :(

Oh I get that. Tech interviews are difficult. I started KZbin then stopped for 4 months cause I couldn’t risk messing that up. The role I’m in is a contract position that may or may not become permanent so I kinda still feel off, however, I’ve been practicing a few things that have helped me make a little bit of time. Will share that soon!

Even if you're on the bench.. they pay you right? I mean they pay at least half of the salary amount
@sumanthakur76334 ай бұрын
@@Shubham-Mishra nothing bro ….. they have lots of new policy, I have talked to the respective HR, as well as my college’s Training and Placement Cell …… HR told me that they have policy that candidates will be able to join work based on business requirements, so basically if the company get projects we will be able to work otherwise just wait on bench with 0 rs, and on top of that they have a “woman empowerment” scheme going on …..so out of all the people(including me) who are on bench ……..out of them the female candidates will be joining first, Im not against this one bit , but there are some of my female classmates who have like 6 gpa out of 10 and probably doesnt even know how to write a basic sql query but somehow they have joined already while I have a 9.3 gpa with decent knowledge and skillset but Im still waiting……. Kind of unfair none the less , although one female student who were my classmate told me that she in a weird place where she works for 1 month and one more female candidate works for 1 month alternatively, so she gets one month salary and one month no pay. Honestly speaking this mass recruiter MNC’s sees us as nothing but bunch for helpless people (slaves) stuck in the rat race……. And although Im really tired of it but as a child from a middle class Indian family we have no other option than to run in this race until we get a chance to do something on our own.

This video randomly appeared in my feed, perhaps as a reminder of my unemployment. It's been exactly 5 months since I was fired from my job. Despite applying to several companies with referrals, I haven't received any callbacks, whether for interviews or rejection emails. My confidence in getting a job is decreasing, and sometimes I even question if I am fit for the IT industry. However, your video has given me a bit of hope, so thank you for that!

Sorry to hear that :( I’m glad you liked the video. Have you tried contacting recruitment firms that work directly with companies without taking a piece off your salary? That worked for me. I had reached out to a few on LinkedIn.

If you are based in Canada I tried Altis and Randstad and found Altis to be quite decent

I hate employers dictating terms, deciding my income, working hours, and asking me to be flexible as per their requirements. Hence, I've decided to enter the market with my own skill sets and strategies and meet them there.

This video really resonates with me. I left my full-time job a year ago to join a startup, and now I am working as a freelancer while continuously applying for jobs abroad. Despite my efforts, I'm not getting any responses, and it's been quite challenging. It's comforting to know that I am not alone in this struggle. Thank you for sharing this perspective.

Important points I noted: • Try to reach out to people to share their work experience and be genuinely interested in it • Start something new to come out of your comfort zone • Narrow down your focus to particular types of job • Consider the interview as a free-flowing conversation • Answer the scenario-based questions by relating to your past experience • Be confident during the interview

I'm going through a similar situation. I got laid off from my job over half a year ago and can't find any significant income now. On top of that, I don't know what I want to do, really. And it is stressful to watch your funds get nullified while you are getting in debt. And still, I don't really want to go back to what I used to do for work. Struggling between doing what I have to do and what I think I possibly could do. I agree that we need to keep trying new ways, learn new skills, and not give up.

Ahh I can understand how you feel. It’s such a weird, confusing position to be in. But you know what, it could be something you can turn around and use this time as an opportunity to do something different. It feels really challenging but there’s something rewarding in taking control of your life. Been through something similar, maybe I could make a video for you :)

Hello, I happen to come across your video and I find your advice and the sharing of your interview knowledge very inspiring and most helpful to anyone currently looking for a job. Well said. I have retired from work and I surf the internet and u tube everyday which I love doing. So far your video is the first video I have come across to offer such valuable advice for anyone looking for a job, and it is difficult to look for a job for anyone these days due to market conditions in many countries such as in USA and China. Well done.😊
