This band has touched my soul on more than just an emotional level but, physically. I have changed so much since finding this band not only because of their inspirational lyrics but, their stage presence. I swear, when they play every person listening becomes as one. It is so miraculous to me. Many long nights spent listening to them.. Helping me get through hardships and the understanding of pain and love all at once. Teaching me that life is beautiful and what is in it as well. They have helped me step back from my mischievous set of mind and not take for granted what is right in front of me... I could not thank them more for that. No band has ever inspired me like this one has.

Something that inspires me most about them is that they're not worried about headbanging and jumping around. They capture a beautiful melodic hardcore sound and are focused on capturing that by playing their instruments very well. There's nothing wrong with stage antics like headbanging, but their music creates an atmosphere that would be ruined if while watching them they crouched down and headbanged while playing open D. It's nice seeing their music reflected with their talent and focus.

To be fair, if you read any interviews, they maintain that they are NOT a Christian band. They are all Christians personally, and it affects their music, especially Joel's lyrics, but they don't attempt to preach or "spread God's love" with their music. I've been to their shows before and they're just way chill dudes. As an atheist myself, it really helps me to appreciate them more.

I´m atheist as well and share your appreciation about this. There are a lot of HxC bands that spread "the Love of God" a bit to much. But though I still feel and share their lyrics as well because of the path and past I´ve been through. I recently though, currently a senior in highschool, have made some changes in my religious beliefs. I still believe in God, but i don't necessarily define my self as a "Christian". You can really tell how far Joel as an individual has come. Just by your body language in this video, you can tell Joel wasn't very confident. Slumped back, head down, having to almost muster up the energy and confidence before every lyric. Now he's throwing his body around on stage, reaching out to people. It's incredible man. I apologize if I am wrong, but to me it's a great addition to the story of BAAO
