It was an amazing day out. Aunty Pam was so welcoming and told us the most interesting stories. Talking to all the shop owners and learning about the history was really worth the visit. We really had a good morning 😁

Haha that mother-in-law spice made me laugh! Love that she mixed your spices right in front of you - that would be really cool. Great beaded items in the market and the people all seemed so friendly. Especially in the fish market.

Always love your bloops! We LOVE markets the closest we’ve come in US to overseas markets are in DC & Philadelphia PA here in the US. Sadly we have the ugly strip malls with our groceries with the exception of maybe local farmers markets. Can’t wait to see what you’re going to make with those spices. Cooking video? ~ Cara 😊

Those potato samosas were probably the best we have ever had. Such a perfect crunch with a perfect tasty filling😁 What was it like 9 years ago? I'm sure many of the same shops were there.

We love market’s. Every place we visit we try to visit a market. This market has so many shops. I would live it there. The earrings are so pretty. The food looks yummy. I love cabbage. Thanks for showing us around this lovely market.

My mom grew up in Durban, and often spoke about the Indian spices and that market. Thanks for sharing. I grew up in Jnb, and I loved the Oriental Plaza. I miss their amazing fabric shops. Nothing on that scale, in one place here in NZ. (Haven't found it anyway).
