Such a great vlog guys! I absolutely love your videos-they’re always filled with such great energy and valuable information. 👍👏Thank you for this update on the cost of living in New Zealand. Everywhere seems expensive these days, and the cost of living has certainly gone up here in Canada as well.🤔 It’s so natural to compare prices to the currency of your home country when you first move somewhere new-that’s just how the brain works!😄 I’m so glad to see you, you beautiful couple, happy and enjoying life🥰 Lots of love to both of you.💖💖

Videos like this convince me not put myself through the headache of emigration, I mean $850 per week on rent is some serious monkey business, the aguerment of earning in $ € is nonsense because you live in those countries 99% of the time, no thanks
@UMBRELLACORPORATION-j8m12 сағат бұрын
On top of that you will need to take the crap Immigration NZ will give you, medical checks, English tests and for foreigners cost a fortune.

I'm so looking forward to my trip to Auckland mid March. Awesome country, albeit expensive, there u can walk alone at night without worrying about goggos behind you. Extremely safe and no snakes 😉. Can't wait to gave Katsubi again 😋

Families should not come to NZ People experience Xenophobia, exploitation and financial hardships, job stability, some families end up in divorce and difficult to make friends. I have lived here for 6 years. They only want you to immigrate, so they can get your money.

We also live in Auckland City. The information is accurate. We also love the city life. Hope to bump into you guys sometime. Maybe we should plan a SA meet up.

Hello to the (lovely) pair of you. So good to see you on a fine sunny spring day in Auckland. How are you? Winter FINALLY arrived in Dubrovnik, about time. Thank you for this fair assessment of your monthly running costs. Whenever I look at what you guys pay for groceries in New Zealand (in NZ$) and compare to what we pay for equivalent items here in Euroland, I am shocked at how much more most grocery items seem in New Zealand. Long time ago (1999-2008), when I lived in New Zealand, I eventually started shopping at the likes of Pak and Save which I found was somewhat cheaper. Good to see that you are also “budgeting” for savings. Ultimately, unless you are budget conscious and thrifty, you are probably not going to be left with much at the end of every month. Lastly, I am glad that you have finally stopped converting into ZAR, it is a banana republic currency, you are truly blessed to be earning what can only be described as a “hard currency”. Stay well and keep on smiling. Regards from Croatia….Zoltan

When budgeting for weekly rent. You should not multiply $850 * 4 ($3400). You should: ($850*52)/12=$3683

Current exchange rate is R10.62 / NZ $ . So working on $8000 / month that equates to earning R85 000 per month 😳 Equates to over a million rands per year
@BeingBedingfield16 сағат бұрын
😔 I know, it’s crazy! That’s why I didn’t even think of showing the amounts in Rands as well 🙈😅 might sound like a fortune, but if you convert $850 per week for rent, that’s almost R9000, that’s basically what we used to pay per month is SA 😭😅
@Gerrardboss-v2g16 сағат бұрын
@BeingBedingfield yep it looks crazy when converted , but glad to hear you eventually get over it as time goes . As a SAn , I gasp everytime 😁

I lived in Queensburgh all my life and nearly lost it at Toti about 1959 at the camping grounds which was situated quite near the rock pool. I was about 9 years old and camping with my older brother and a few mates. Being the youngest I went to sleep early and apparently the tent I was sleeping in caught fire. I remember nothing except gazing up at the stars. I was told later that my brother and his mates ripped the tent off me and put out the fire. Never forget it.
