The main issue is doctrinal. For many years, most of these fathers in the faith have been controlling and manipulating people with a wrong doctrine. Most of these Pastors know each other personally and there’s a breaking out of an agenda that has held church members in bondage and the fact that this is happening there’s a reaction amongst them. No one is a defender of the faith except the one who preaches the truth because the word of God itself is full proof of what is true and what is deceptive. So anyone who will come out and say we all play different roles in the body doesn’t know what the scriptures teach. All functions and expressions in the body of Christ have one goal and that is ”for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The issue of placing too much emphasis on men of God is that we don't see the men anymore. Like the TB Joshua matter, people were comparing Joshua to Jesus: Jesus was called Beelzebub etc. They forgot about Peter who tried to fight back. Also the Bible says we will suffer and be persecuted: fighting it is benign to me. And I wasn't there when God called these men, I'm not spending my life trying to prove or disprove said calling, I'm searching for God instead.

Response to the interview with ps about divorce- just because some of our ministers divorced does not mean we should build on that. We don’t condemn them but we know nobody sets out to get married with the hope to divorce. Please let’s not glorify what is not God’s will just because we want to feel good about it.

The Bible says God hates divorce and that's period. I wonder why anyone would want to embrace and even defend what the Bible says God hate. People should follow God and not men o. A lot of people will be disappointed at last for their sheepish followership of man. The concept of discipleship is all about men following Jesus through the lives of other men that are also following. You keep following as long as you can clearly see Christ through them(which means you as a person can also recognize Christ for yourself); immediately the vision gets blurry, you are expected to keep off. Remember, there is only one Lord!

Read Matthew 5:31-32 regarding what the Lord Jesus Christ taught about divorce. He said a man could divorce his wife if she's unfaithful to him and that's the only condition He gave for divorce. But unfortunately nowadays most men have extra marital affairs, divorce their faithful wives and go on to marry their mistresses. Those are the kinds of remarriages that the Lord Jesus Christ calls adulterous.

Note in that verse 32 that the one who married him or her that's divorced has committed adultery. You can also check 1Cor 7:11 and see that part of the condition is to remain unmarried. Note that the act of testing one, two, three wives and keep changing them until you find your match is unscriptural and God can never approve of that no matter who practice it. Bible has a standard for marriage. Seek the face of God before you go ahead and let God be the one leading you, if that's the case, you can't ever get it wrong. However, if your believe it to married who YOU like and not whom GOD gives; expect unreconcilable challenges in the marriage.

I think If people take out time to understand each other (not to make the other live for you) and focus on what is best for the common good of all…treat the other as you treat your own self…I believe marriages and homes will fare better. As regards the issue of divorce Christ is still the standard, in as much as I love Olumide Emmanuel so much I disgree with him on that fact siting Joyce mayer and copeland. What We need to know is that man is not God that He can not make an erro and God is not a man to make any erro, everyone is a man or woman before they come to a realise and Be called a man of God or woman of God , so erro is inevitable to a man or any woman who is saving God. and there is no where in the Bible where it states that only those with a biger number of people must correct others, correction can come from anyone whom God has given the Burden to speak about it. and correcting every erro you see does not make someone all perfect or that He can not be aslo in erro and be correct. But please my request is that let the leaders of different denominations know how to adress others . 1) by coming out and mention the names without fear just as paul mention peters' hypocrisy in the church. & 2) let the leaders be able to communicate in privacy and correct one another without restrictions cause its because of this that mamy clergy men tend to adress issues online. and this does not help christions in the growth of there faith but rather distroys it completely and you will find many believers not growing in their faith and kingdom matters. lets stop the african mentality of highrucking everything and no corrections to father , no no no. things of God dont depend on experiences only but more on revelation. please let our african clergy men and women stop all these fights especialy online because there are actualy not buiding but distroying and they must remember that one day they will be answerable to God. let them lead by love and love is all that difine God.

Divorce is not a sin. It cannot be because God does not legislate sin, He does not tell people how to do sin so that sin will be just. Divorce is not desirable but it is anticipated amongst mankind, being that it is impossible for people in a fallen state, whose hearts are often deceptive, dishonest, to fully get along. The divorce of Malachi, among the priests, had to do with unfaithfulness, a taking advantage of in a callous way, which is what the 'violence' referred to. There was injustice. Divorce was not introduced in Israel by Moses any more than sleeping at night was! Moses merely legislated the most honourable way to do it; there was some sort of an investigation, likely some mefiation, counselling, and the divorce paper stated the divorce reason and any fault on the part of the woman. Just like cutting off a member of one's body or the cutting off that the vinedresser does, no such cutting is desirable but the fact is, it is often expedient, even necessary! The Father of Jesus Christ does not make mistakes. Restoring order is often painful; Jesus Christ knew the pain of being cut off from His Fathet on the cross. Was that a divorce? When a sinner is cut off from God, is that a divorce? Divorce happens because terms, conditions, hopes, and aspirations are breached, sometimes inconsolably, irreparably. Whether the divorce happens in a law court (which the Levites oversaw in the Israeli culture) or privately within a home, unannounced, discreet, it is the same thing, only that one type is more honest, allows for healing, and contains the spread of poison and possible pollution, toxicity. That's what cutting off a diseased branch can achieve. There are many things God hates. Some of them are outrightly sin or a perversion. God does not legislate any sin or perversion. God so hated the violence and corruption in the days of Noah that He drowned all land creatures, save Noah and his family. God so hated Adam's sin that He drove him from Eden and condemned that creation. God hates unjust weights but does not kill the guilty instantly. God so hated Israel's constant rebellion that God divorced them publicly and wrote them a certificate, His very prescription! God did something the nation understood. Just like men die, disagreements and divorce will continue until the restoration of all things. When asked about a particular divorce practice, the Lord Jesus referred to what Moses said; He did not counter Moses as to nullify existing order; that would be lawless. He was right to say we are hard hearted and that before sin made hearts hard, 'it was not so'. The trouble is, NOBODY knows how the beginning was; Adam could not transmit the memory. For us to be having this conversation betrays our condition, born under sin- hard hearted. Nothing on earth today is how it was in the beginning. It may be sheer pretence, or pride for anyone subject to physical death to aver he knows how things were at the beginning or that he, or we, mankind, is able to come into that experience. What we must strive for is to uphold righteousness and justice and to pursue peace with all men, especially the brethren and family members. This will yield favourable results sometimes- hopefully, more times, and at other times, lead to a scattering, a putting apart. In both cases, the Lordship of Jesus is intact and His grace may go with all the parties. Either may be the better option; one's conduct through the process, in respecting God's precepts and upholding due order, and the fruit that follows is all we have to go on and judge by. Selah.

This is whole nonsense that no one can rebuke a quote on quote father (I still dont believe in spiritual fatherism...I never will). God can use anybody that He desires to rebuke anybody, God does not look at what these preachers call spiritual ranking, God cares less about that. If God wants to use a donkey 🫏 to rebuke a quote on quote general God can most definitely do just that; at the end of the day He is God. The Apostles rebuked eachotner, the Apostle Peter did not say to the Apostle Paul: "Who is are you paul to rebuke me, I walked, I ate, I was one of Jesus' closest disciples for three years before you came along; so who are you to tell me what to do". No, this didn't happen, Peter took the rebuke and kept it going. But nowadays we have so called leaders who in their minds think that they are above rebuke/correction...nobody is above rebuke or even above correction. God used the prophet Nathan to rebuke King David, David did not say to Nathan: "Do you know who I am, I am the king of an entire nation, who are you to rebuke ME". Pride is really killing these quote on quote leaders of oir generation, folks should really stop idolizing and worshipping these individuals, only God deserves all the worship not man.

If you are a father of faith, it means you have extraordinary influence in and over the body of Christ. If you have such influence, must the body of Christ not be protected if the influence sometimes become negative? And how can we defend if we don’t counterpoint the negative influence with Scripture. What is more important? The body of Christ or the so-called fathers of faith? Bottom line, what does the Bible say about the issue of speaking to correct a father of faith? Paul corrected Peter. But of course, according to one of the fathers, Paul contradicts Jesus.

I wonder when "Apostle" Arome Osayi will correct "Apostle" Joshua Selman on his statements 1. Not everything in the Bible is the word of God 2. Some things Paul wrote are wrong. I really wonder if corruption has caught up with the ministry of correction 🥱 Anyway, there're no more Apostles today. Anyone claiming that office is a fraud, liar and deceiver.

He didn’t say not everything in the Bible is the word of God. I know the message you’re talking about- The Spirit of Revelation. What he said was that the Bible should not be read in isolation without the help of the Holy Spirit, because it was compiled and translated by men over time, and as a result some errors could have been introduced in the process. What he said was that the essence of scripture is to reveal God and this can only happen when the Holy Spirit opens it up to you. You can go back and listen to the message again. Let’s be careful how we quote people especially men of God.

"The word of God is any part in this Bible that is able to give you Spirit and life" ~Selman They are scriptures because they are inspired by God. Men wrote it, yes but not by their own will. Jesus often quoted the old testament prophets. The Apostles did the same. None of them ever gave the slightest hint that, "not everything in the scriptures is the word of God" . Yet, we should believe Joshua Selman's gynastics which twists the scriptures to say that the word of God is the part that gives you life? He has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. There are descriptive and prescriptive texts in the scriptures and they are all inspired. In the same Clip, he said some things Paul said are wrong according to the character of God's word. "wow!!" how deeeep!!! Even Peter, John, John and the other Apostles didn't know this. The early church didn't know this either. Selman is so deep. Unfortunately the early church missed out on this putrid revelation. Paul wrong? Hmmmm... Perhaps you should go back and listen to the clip again.

Olumide Emmanuel should get out of the ministry. God had left him and he does not know. Pastors 23:29 who divorced and remarried are living for themselves and not for God. If you have a big ministry does not mean God is with you. The word of God cannot be broken.
