Thanks George For serving us. I am a Lecturer and Pastor of a local church. I follow you always from Cameroon. To me, If it's possible, to produce like 1000 more preachers like Dr Abels , it will be wonderful in the body of Christ. But your plate form is serving a great purpose in the body of Christ. Many are changing already. The key challenge of most preachers is their starting point. How the gospel was presented to them. Prosperity gospel is enforced by 'Salvation of works'. This is bad religion as TD Jakes wrote. Salvation is by grace. Not of works. Eph 2:8-9. In Cameroon here is similar with prosperity gospel. About 80% of ministries here are extension or inspired from Nigeria. We will run with the Gospel. Freely we received and hence freely we give. Let people support the work freely and not by scam. Christians should be encouraged to work and not be fooled by divine prosperity scammers. Psalms 1:3. Thanks

The Bible is inspired by the Holy Ghost, people are the ones the Holy Spirit indwells. The word of God is not clear and if you are not full of the Holy Spirit you will not only mislead yourself, but also other people. We all need people to teach us the word of God as we also read it for ourselves to confirm what is being taught to us. If the Bible is clear, we should all believe in the same things, but that isn't the case.

It is the hallmark of the prosperity gospel which is basically transactional, eg Matt. 4: 5-10. They owe no one restitution. As a matter of fact, nowhere did Jesus instruct us to restitute - his instruction is repentance. They are both forgiven and it's gone. Apostle Paul who wasted the church and left many fatherless did not restitute to any of those people. As a matter of fact, he said "I have wronged no one". If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away and behold all things have become new. Your past is dead except for the life you give it.

​@@Mac_TO20 You're right. The tax collctor but not Jesus. Zaccheaus (the chief tax collector in Jericho) decided by himself to do that - it wasn't an instruction from Jesus. Jesus' message is repentance and born again, not restitution.

However, may I remind you that every and anyone who genuinely repents seeks ways to make amends (restitution )? Paul examplified that as well. When he got saved, his restitution was to do all it took to convert as many as he could. Have you wondered why was a radical preacher of the gospel? Even to the extent that when the Spirit of God warned him to not go into a certain city to preach, he willed to go even if it takes his life! Another example of restitution is seen in the betrayal of Christ by Peter. When he repented, Christ appeared to him and asked him three times to restore his brethren in the faith, because they also fell off following Peter's denial. In summary, I repeat my point: genuine repentance comes with restitution. This could be in the form of correcting oneself, or desisting from doing the previous wrongs or ways, or even championing a cause to stop would-be offenders like you did.

@@Mac_TO20 You're correct but what you're suggesting is different from the sort of restitution detractors of Damina and the repented Benny Hinn are asking for. In your sense, Dr Damina's message now is his restitution because he's helping to free people from the bondage other preachers including himself may have put them in. However, the restitution these detractors are asking for is an individualistic type where they are expected to return every money they took as tithe which is completely unrealistic. Money they received from tithes and other sort of seeds would have been used for TV and radio broadcast, upkeep of the church, payment of staff salaries etc. How do you restitute that? Should they go back to those staff they paid and collect the money? Apostle Paul's ministry has no restitution of that kind. His minstry was his service to the Lord, not restitution (in the sense of one on one repayment) to the people.

As we continue to pray for Benny Hinn, Abel Damina and others, let us remember that there are 3 important parts to repentance: stop the wrong, make corrections and do restitution. The last 2 are completely different. After misleading people about prosperity doctrine, now teaching the right thing is making correction. Restitution is for them to return what was gained by gimmickery. One can argue that they cannot return all or even find the peole who gave the money. In this case, let them take a substantial part of their wealth and give it to the poor and less-privileged. In 1 Samuel 12, before his death, Samuel stood before all Israel and asked if he had taken anything from anyone of them by pretense or deception and promised to return them. Zaccheus told Jesus same, that he returned even more than he took from people. If these people, could do restitution, why can't our MOGs ?

Most of these ministries have outreaches to the poor or underprivileged, community impact etc. But materialism ,flamboyance , greed , is the downward side or even the dark sides to their life and ministry. The need for a balance lifestyle and ministry is more necessary than ever . Measuring success in ministry by financial prosperity and affluence from money taken from the poor masses is evil, carnality and unbiblical . Seeking fame, fortune and fabulous lifestyle and ministry is the pressure that pushes them to milk the poor under the guide of seeking support for the ministry

How I wish Abel Damina didn't fall into this, but we thank God in transforming his life to the reality of the original Gospel of Christ. No more prosperity Gospel is needed on earth because it wasn't and isn't biblical to practice this by exploiting others.

Benny 'repented' just to kill the Mike Winger exposé. He's scheduled to hold a meeting with Suleiman in New York, a notorious proponent of the prosperity gospel he calls a gimmick. His greed for money can't allow him to stop the gimmicks. It's that simple. He usually 'repents' when an exposé about his grifting seems to be going viral. His defenders will have a hard time defending him when he continues promising wealth to those that give him money 😂

The truth is even Abel Damina members don't support nor defend him, must of them in His Church are those he assisted while they were nobody, so they are indebted to him. Do you notice they don't capture his whole congregation on camera, because you will see the same people again and again.
