Lovely seeing this under winter conditions. You've really captured the light well here. 👍 The long walk-out on The Yellow Brick Road 'builds character' especially on a hot day. 😆 All the best chaps. Dave..

Hi Charlie, A fine walk, I did the 1st one Carn Leith, but a schoolboy error I tried compression sock and they had my feet battered rubbing, it was summer and a hot day, so a good excuse to go back and do a few more at some stage, nice little place Blair Atholl but campsite the pitch was on a slope but a great site Otherwise!, I highly recommend people visit the area. Hi Mark, Perthshire is certainly a beautiful part of Scotland for all things outdoors and beyond. We have a holiday caravan in the area so it's common ground for us. You'll enjoy a return visit as the area has benefited from being in the Cairngorms National Park with better paths and parking. Cheers, Charlie

I wish I had a Mike to Climb with, my pal is very busy with work and kids! @charliemccartney7055 Жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, Yes, I have the camera set on wider and 4k, 30fps when capturing the videos. I've experimented with a few different views but have settled for the wide when in the hills. The camera is always quickly accessible either in the pack holder or in pouch around the waist during the winter. I also have a hand warmer in the pouch just to ensure it doesn't freeze when the wind chill is severe. Cheers, Charlie

@@PAADVENTURES1 Paul, I've also tried the media mod on my camera but didn't find a big difference in the sound in the mountain environment. I simply use a foam windshiel which I'm happy with and it saves any mucking about with media mod. I'll be interested to see how you get on.. Cheers

Spiffy new cap, Charlie. Something I wonder when I watch winter hiking videos from Scotland: Scottish hikers all seem to favour true crampons, rather than microspikes, which you'll typically see worn in North America in winter, unless you're actually ice climbing. Do you think there's a specific reason, or is it just a regional preference?
@charliemccartney7055 Жыл бұрын
Hi Michelle, Its amazing what hats you buy when they are going cheap 🤣. I've no experience with micro spikes but I've always preferred the security and rigidity of the large spike particularly on steep ice or mixed terrain. I've looked at a pair in the past but never taken the step the purchase. Cheers, Charlie
