Thanks for this tutorial, purchased a new beko condenser dryer this week . It’s our first new dryer since 1999, our old hot point tumble drier lasted 25 years .This video is so helpful and explains clearly how to install this machine, Thankyou

thank you, very informative. I have just purchased a DTGV8000W Vented tumble dryer recently. I wanted to go vented so I could take out all the hot air and moisture out of the room. with our previous Beko Condenser dryer the room the dryer was in got quite hot and was giving out damp air. Also got fed up with cleaning the condenser every month which can be a messy job, none of that palaver now, all I have to do with the vented dryer is just clean the fluff filter and away i go, no water tank to empty either. So if people are deciding between a vented or condenser dryer and cannot make up their mind but the dryer will be placed by a wall with a vent to the outside , then I would go vented dryer all the time. (plus they are normally cheaper than a condenser dryer) I noticed on my previous Beko condenser that they put the 'sensors' (2 long metallic strips) to detect when the clothes are dry in the drum , actually inside the drum part , at the bottom just ahead of the fluff filter. Very easy to clean/wipe . The clothes would 'brush' past the metal strips so the tumble dryer so the machine would know when they are dry and should stop the dryer from drying. On this new DTGV8000W we have they seem to have done away with this idea now and have placed the sensor way underneath the fluff filter , and what I wanted to ask you if you have the same on your DTGC8001W where they have put the sensor under the fluff filter or the 2 metal strips in the drum part. I do feel that when using 'Extra Dry' sensor setting that the clothes come out dryer that when 'extra dry' is used on our new DTGV8000W and I wondered if that maybe had any bearing as the clothes no longer brush past the sensors in this new design ?

Hi I have had 3 condenser dryers in the last 10 years just brouight the Beko 8 kg and thanks for explaining the water pipe I got with it, it looks very simple to use and hope it will be as good as my Indisit one which I had for 8 years. The last one will not name brand as had lots of problems with it but other people never had problems as I had so ust not a good one I got. So far with the Beko nice and quiet and does what it says so early days but all looks good just glad I found out what the thin pipe is for, light inside good the last dryer had that but my indisit never rather here or there for me is a light if it as it then it as it ifn't doesn't matter. Anyway all looks good.

Yes just leave the felt on the back. Not a daft question at all as we do get asked it a lot.

Hello just came across your video, and wanted to ask, as far as the drain hose is concerned, do you actually need that or can you just use the dryer without it? As I have no where to drain the water from so thought I could just use the drawer to empty it
@lords-electrical Жыл бұрын
You don't have to use the hose, most people will just use the drawer and empty it when it is full

Thanks for this video , it was quite informative. Please can you explain further on the delayed timer. Is the timing on the dryer automated?
@lords-electrical10 ай бұрын
A time delay will be a delay in the start of the program. It can be useful if you want to have the program start at a later time due to the clothes not sitting in the drum for too long once the program has finished.

Hi. Is it normal for the condenser unit down at the bottom left to be wet when pulled out? Also is the pipe just an alternative to the draw as I havnt fitted it
@lords-electrical Жыл бұрын
Yes it is normal for the condenser to be wet at the bottom of the dryer. The pipe is an alternative to the drawer. You can put the pipe into a water drain so the moisture will exit that way rather than filling the drawer and you having to empty it.

Very useful, much more than the manual! I wanted the drain pipe fitted, but had to get the plumber to change the fitting under the sink (it's in the utility room) as there was nowhere to connect it to. It's connected, but the dryer ignores the pipe and just fills the tank. Have we missed something?
@lords-electrical2 жыл бұрын
Depending on the dryer, check to make sure the pipe that has been removed and connected to the dryer is correct.

@lords-electrical2 жыл бұрын
Difficult to know, but it is more than likely a loose pipe either at the bottom or more than likely behind the water container at the top. If you can have a look, it may have just come off so it may be a case of pushing it back on. Good luck!!

Can you reverse the door on this model?
@lords-electrical Жыл бұрын
There is nothing that states the door can be reversed, but ive had a look and the holes would indicate the door can be reversed. Its not normally something a customer can do as the door catch needs to be moved from the inside of the cabinet.

What do I do with the pipe attachments that have come with it? Would the water leak out? It does have a condenser but I'm just confused, do I disconnect the pipes and it'll collect the water in the water tank thing?
@rfield43083 жыл бұрын
If you connect it to the pipes you don’t need to empty the water at the top. It’s easier to just empty the thing at the top
@markweaver5122 Жыл бұрын

Can the door be reversed on this dryer?
@lords-electrical5 жыл бұрын
Hi, It looks like it can be reversed, but you can find to relocate the door catch can be fiddly, so unless you really need to, it isn't normally recommended.
@dawnpieta13444 жыл бұрын
Yes it can be changed on the 10kg
@Andy-Robus4 жыл бұрын
I have the 8KG Vented version of this and it does not look like it can be reversed. The catch I would think has all electrics behind it , so it knows when porthole door is open (switches off tumble dryer when door open) and closed (dryer switches on and operates only when door is closed. So if you moved that catch over to the other side you would have to move all the electrical cable and the switch over to the other side too. plus the handle to open the door would be at the bottom once changed over - Plus I believe the Instruction booklet does not say the door can be changed to open the other way. My previous Beko Condenser dryer (older model) with a Square door, not a round one, could in fact be swapped over , and it said in the instruction book said it could be and gave step by step diagrams of how to do it .
