I performed this fix 6 years ago, when the fridge was bought second hand. Yesterday it finally stopped cooling properly. It's done us well! Crazy thing was, at the time this fridge freezer was new, it was rated A for efficiency, but now with all the changes to the rating system, it's closer to a G!

BIG thank you . This sorted out my problem ( Freezing in fridge section ). Measured the area that needed cutting as per the instruction and found the duff sensor. New Part was easy to source on Flebay or just google it. Slight problem with different connection to to circuit board and routing the cable. Same issue as seen in video so easily sorted. Part was about £8.50 plus a bit of solder and heat shrink.

Cheers pal. Saw your comments on a forum, looked on youtube for a cheeky video....whaddya know....youve put the step by step on KZbin . Ive ordered the part...will be fitting it...let you know how it goes....been losing my hair on our BEKO FF for months! I bought a door seal & internal PCB but i thought it might be something else...as im getting the perfect rectangle block of ice forming on the back wall of the fridge. So this sensor.....im hoping does the trick! £9 off ebay! Thanks John! :)

Hi Stevie, I have just pulled the Fridge freezer out as I had marked the position dimensions of the sensor on the back in case I had to find it again. Looking at the back towards the front; its 255 mm down from the top and 330 in from the left-hand side. good luck, regards Gareth

I have a Beko Frost free freezer (TFF546APW) which maintains a steady -5 deg C. It looks like the thermometer is faulty. Is this the same as the thermometer or are they two separate parts? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Re BEKO model CFDL 7914S, Thanks for the info, I had slight variance from your dimensions for anybody with the same model as mine, after releasing the top screws on the condenser to lean it out for access; I cut away a section of insulation as described in your photos, however I found the sensor was located 330 mm in from left side and 255 mm down from the top. my problem now is trying to locate a sensor for this model of Fridge Freezer. Does anybody know of a universal or specific sensor that would be suitable and possibly a supplier. Thank you.

I got a new thermostat first, don't know if this one is duff as well, made no difference. Still well below freezing in the top compartment. Will try the sensor as a last resort.

My beco is too cold in the fridge department, dispite the thermostat being turned right down. The milk freezes, so I don't know if it is the thermostat that is at fault or the sensor.?

@@MrGrtx I got another thermostat about £7 but made no difference still well below freezing, in the top compartment. Perhaps it is a duff thermostat again, may order another one, before trying to see if it is the sensor.

Hi . I have a Beko CXFP1582DS Frost free fridge freezer. My freezer works fi e but the fridge is really warm, not cooling at all. Could you please kindly help. I cut out the foam but the wire goes to the left and disappeared on the side with the cables to the door knob. Thank you

Hi @szucs arnold did you manage to resolve the problem? I have the same problem, freezer doing -30C and in the fridge is just 10C, compressor working all day.

Can you tell me the properties of the sensor you installed? I understand sensor's resistances are product-specific. The resistance, and change in resistance with temperature has to be the right match for the thermostat. Did you use a sensor supplied by Beko?
@Solder-Flowz7 жыл бұрын
I bought this one: "Genuine Beko Fridge Freezer Temperature Sensor 4216600385 9601NE BC50F DNE61052D", £8.95 on Ebay including postage. I can't tell you the specs dude as it's all sealed now, but you should be fine with the number I gave you ;)

Great information...but when I cut away the insulation (as shown) on my Lamona/Beko HJA6015 the wiring from the controller disappeared into the insulation under the left hand metal side and was therefore inaccessible without ripping the side off. Has anyone come across this and knows where the thermistor/sensor is located?
@mikeymike99016 жыл бұрын
Yes, I cut the piece out as per video, I then continued to cut the insolation out to follow the wire, ended up going round the left hand side of the casing with the other wires which I think might link to the door light switch. So definitely have to connect to existing wire or what I did was to drill a small hole through the plastic box and feed the new wire that way.

As with these 2 replies. The F/F is 8 years old, so I gave up and purchased a new and more efficient Beko F/F. Anyone need a new genuine sensor ;-)

Hi Ferenc.I don’t Know if you have managed to fix your problem but I had the same model as yours with the same Fault.I managed to fix mine by replacing a circulating Fan in the Freezer section which had seized.The Fan can be observed its operation by removing The Top Draw of the Freezer.It Takes only 15 minutes to replace it.Hope this helps

Hi Again. I did manage to purchase a universal sensor for the Beko fridge freezer model CFDL 7914S. It was Genuine Beko Fridge Freezer Sensor part number 4216600285. however there is another sensor numbered 4216600325 which has a longer lead I should of purchased instead. As Dave Grex mentioned below, a bit of solder and shrink fit solved the problem, Thank You John S.

We have a CDA664FW fridge freezer combo (fridge on top), which a few weeks ago started to freeze-up the fridge compartment. I could not find any information with regard to details of the sensor/s used in this model and their locations. However, after trying to find the fridge sensor and removing foam to trace the wires, I came to the conclusions that this model (CDA664FW) doesn't have a fridge air-sensor, as the 'foamed-in' wires for the sensor run from the main circuit board (mounted at the back of the fridge at the very top), through the roof of the fridge then down the side of the fridge, where it then appears in the freezer compartment and feeds the evaporator sensor. I wish that I had done a continuity test on these wires first, as this would have saved me a lot of bother. I have replaced this sensor with an evaporator type from 'UK Whitegoods Spares' shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/4394720185-electronic-fridge-sensor. It seems to work, but only having replaced the sensor a few hours ago, I need more time to make sure that is running okay. The replacement sensor comes in an insulted cover, which doesn't allow fitment into the manufacturer's ready-made plastic clip, as it's too wide. Therefore, I've cable-tied it to the refrigerant tube with the flat side of the sensor against the tube. You can just about feel the flat side of the sensor through the black insulation boot. I've currently got an air-temperature thermometer inside the fridge and in the freezer to monitor the temperatures of both. Information on the internet suggests that the fridge should be around 4°C to 5°C, and the freezer around -18°C. The fridge temp is about right, but the freezer was at -25°C when I last looked. I'm trying to see how much the temperature adjuster in the fridge impacts on these temperatures. I'm not saying this is the correct fix, but it seems to be going in the right direction. I hope this helps others with the type of fridge I am referring to in my notes.

Did this work? Having the same issue with this model. Was the evaporator sensor behind the foam?

I had a query via an email (which I subsequently accidently deleted) from a person in CA. The question was if the sensor I used was suitable for their fridge freezer? and where I sourced it from. The one I used; part number as listed below and it is used by many differing manufactures of fridge freezers and therefore I assumed was a universal part and took a chance and fitted it. I live in the UK ; the company I sourced it from is a UK company; www.buyspares.com there is an alternative UK site which is www.espares.co.uk both companies have a help desk of which you could enquire about your model. If you wish, please re email me. The Fridge Freezer is working fine now. Regards Gareth

Many thanks john s as your KZbin video helped me fix my fridge freezer. Tried the thermostat and drain heater and was about to scrap it until I watched your video. Ordered the part from www.4ourhouse.co.uk using the model number and fitted it today. Working great and saved me a fortune so thank you.

Was your fridge freezer a CDA648FW/1? Was the sensor different to the one fitted?
@hilarymolineux7067 жыл бұрын
Its a CDA653FB/1 but I just ordered the one that looked the same on the website I mentioned (even though it said it wasn't necessarily for my model). To get the old sensor out completely looked like a nigtmare and the replacement one had a different connector so used the old connector spliced to the new sensor. Worked a treat. Used electrical tape to cover the wires and tin of expanding foam to infill the insulation I removed. Screwfix do the tins at just over 3 quid. Good luck.
@verad52797 жыл бұрын
how did you locate the sensor inside the insulation?

I followed the measurements on the clip. found it no problem.
