Nice one!! Really happy that you got yourself a Nilfisk! It is an amazing vacuum cleaner!! And the design is in principle more than 60 years old.. This is one of the later once, with a GMP motor which is not produced by Nilfisk. I think I have heard that, a least at a point, it was actually a motor produced by Philips, but I am not sure if it still is so. Have fun with it!! Hoping to see much more of this work horse in action! 😊 Nilfisk greetings from Denmark!

Probably be good using a turbo brush Sam - certainly make it easier to push!

Being Danish, the first vacuum cleaner I ever uses was one of those solid metal late 50s Nilfisk units. They were solid.

I have been waiting video of your Nilfisk GM80! I have earlier (I believe 90's) GM80. It has GMI motor with two turbine design and motor is upside down in the motor housing. That's because suction fans are in reverse order. Air goes first through the motor and then through the fans.Wattage is 1100w. Your GM80 has totally different motor and it also sounds totally different. It's clearly very powerful like is my GM80. I also have the plastic handle and I don't like it. I saw new metal handle hose with double joints in the eBay. I think these would deserve it. I have plenty of videos of my Nilfisk in my channel. If you search from my channel ""Massive Motor In The Nilfisk GM80"" you can see the weird motor.

You’ve a late one. The Gm90s were so so popular over in NI. Still loads floating around absolutely everywhere and lots of nilfisk kings as well. Think you’d really like kings- will have to get one sent your way some time lol

I do think the wand is a bit earlier, the grey highlights on it dont match the rest of it.Still an excellent machine, hose grip shouldnt be too hard to repalce nor should the cable.Could also cannabalize one new numatic head for it if you want it mint but then that would be getting rid of the nilfisk logo

It seems to me that you are not treating this piece of machinery right. First clue was when you were knocking the Hoover into it. If these machines are treated right you don´t have to buy another in your own lifetime. Change the various filters and this will be your buddy for life!..
