This record is ridiculous. I remember trying to listen to it before I went to bed a while back, and I must've been exhausted cause I fell asleep, but now I'm here again, and this is incredible. Avant-garde metal has been strong this year, but this is a beast of its own

Have you listened to prog rock from 70's? I recognize many phrases from that genre. You'd be surprised how many interesting albums you could find from that era. Just listen to the guitar on King Crimson - In The Wake Of Poseidon how ridiculous it sounds at first hearing but later it makes sense.

@@schismcoalescence you got a point there. I still find not only bands, but new paths to where I am right now. I mean, I started at 91, I went all the way long with metal. But somehow I missed lots of iconic bands and lots of path where bands influenced each other successively. That is one incredible thing about metal, you can gather from the present but also from the past. There's always hidden gems.

@@Pragnantweggyboard Funny enough I've even seen Ved Buens Ende live (and even under a rainbow lol), but they didn't really stick with me. And it's certainly not like this. Not sure if avantgarde is even the right word, but the deliberate tempo changes and time fuckery (like car bomb) from this band is something else.
