This is not animation cancelling, this is simply casting God's whip the way it was intended. If it was actually animation cancelling then you'd be able to get off Meteor before the animation of Freezing earth had even finished.

Befor I quit in late 2017 the cancling was still possible with the "normal" god's whip. When I hopped back into the game rececntly to check in the current state befor aau, I was kinda dissapointed that they "fixed" it, but good to know, that it could come back in aau.

Do you have your abilities bound to your keyboard or your mmo mouse? I just got a g600 and am curious if people utilize the side buttons for abilities or just potions n such. Edit: just looked on a bigger screen and see that you are using keyboard bindings. Is there any reason for this outside of previous muscle memory for you?

i bought the g600 when i was like 1 month into archeage. is a really game changer for builds that use a lot of skills. i usually use it for situational skills, potions, glider, and some minor macros.

I don't have a mouse that fancy but with the mouse I have I just found it easier to bind shift/ctrl to it so I could more easily use more skills. Then I bound movement stuff like mounts, boats, glider, and my map to it. Having easy access to all that stuff isn't necessary but it's saved me a couple times while I played

I use a g502 and I have both of them bound to N and B. Mouse button is bound to freezing earth for this video :) helps a lot

Small quibble. That's not animation cancelling. It's using a skill of GCD, while allows you to chain the 1 power while other skills are on GCD. Animations aren't being cancelled, you're just not required to wait on a GCD to cast the spell, which allows for the cycling of spells.

Thats what im saying as i watch im like this isnt that but macroing it will go faster i macro the game at .02ms the average button press is like .38 thats all this is doing is speeding up click speed faster than a human can on a skill with no gcd.

you could do it with tripleslach/frevent healing back in the day. I dont know any other, at least none which are as impactfull

the only animation cancels you can do is with rapid strikes and triple slash. At least thats all i am aware of.. Not enough to make a whole video. Ill show it on stream sometime if you stop by!

can you do a vid about animation cancel for melee, preferably for deathwish (battlerage, shadowplay, swiftblade), this class has lots of skills with ton damage, but i find that swiftblade skills has a long global cd

So seeing this, I was curious how the malediction tree works with this animation cancel? Most of those skills have a wind-up animation too, such as bladefall, serpent's bite, the fury stacking skill, etc. Is is possible to weave these together as well with the god's whip? Also, is god's whip the only one with which you can animation cancel, or are there other skills with which you can achieve a similar effect of cancelling the animation(available for mages)? I was thinking, at least, if I got the concept right, that it should also be possible with Mana Bolts from malediction, since it also has a similar mechanic as god's whip, I just haven't tested it elaborately enough.

You can animation cancel crushing waves with gods whip but I havent tried it with other malediction skills. No reason why you wouldnt be able to :)

My beef with gods whip is that it is a skill shot and not a Target one. Makes it hard to use it as Im moving

If you animation cancel your GC anyways, why do you need high attack speed? Or did I missunderstood that part? Not sure but this seems like if you use enough attacks speed skills and items like your showed in the video you would be able to cast the same number of fireballs.

Attack speed lowers the gcd on the gods whip thus allowing you to animation cancel faster. The faster your gods whips; the faster you can complete the rotation.

you can do it with rapid strikes from shadowplay but its really fucking hard to do.. Especially with 200 ping lol

He is using an ancestral version that makes his firebolts slower and hit way harder, compared to the normal, somewhat weaker version of firebolt.

It's not technically animation cancelling. He picks a spell that stops going on GCD. Which is why he is weaving it. God's Whip - off GCD, hit next spell - starts GCD, God's Whip - off GCD, and while this is firing, it allows to fire next spell. It's good way to fire out a lot of spells, but it's at least not like Elder Scrolls Online where you have to do that on everyone for competitive dps.
