This video showing you how to replace the carbontex drag on your Daiwa electric reel. Carbontex drag washers can dramatically smoothen your drag and also enhance the drag value. Carbontex drag washers perform well no matter in dry or wet condition. It is far much better than the original drag provided by Daiwa. Do it yourself and upgrade the drag.

A lite coating of cals grease is all you need. dont slob grease all over them...

I have a Daiwa Tanacom 1000 2yearsold ! I have noticed that compared to others(of same model ) that it nosier than other . Any ideas on why or a fix ?

Noise could be from any part of the reel. My two cents is try lubricate your reel first.

A little advice regarding reel care and maintenance.... Have the proper sized tools ready. An adjustable wrench shouldn't go near your beloved reels ;)
