Man I love this channel. Learning that beersmith thing will help make recipe converting soooo much easier. So watchable, I grew up on skate videos, and I can tell you did too with your edit style. Keep it up man, you are killing it

There are so many homebrew channel crossovers! I wanna crack one open with all you guys

You could try adding some light golden Belgian candi sugar to get a little more flavor and dry it out a bit. Looks like a solid recipe. I'm guessing the Gnome yeast from La Chouffe? That's one of my favorite beers.

Haven't been able to brew for a few weeks and your videos always make me want to take the day off and brew something!! BPA is also one of my favorites.

As always a great video! Where can I get one of your shirts? I didn’t see a link anywhere in the description.

Great job as always, love the Anvil foundry! Did you we circulate the mash? Keep up the great work! The homebrew challenge was great also

Thanks man! Nope just regular stirring on this one and it worked out well. Sometimes I’ll also pull a few liters and dump it over top if I’m skeptical of the temp

I love your yeast choice on this one, brother. In my experience, that yeast strain will give you more of what you want if you push the OG up to about 1.060-1.065.

Very nice! I love Belgium beer. Next logical step, make your own Lambic :D

It can be fun to use someone else's recipe once in a while. I brewed the Strong Bitter from Mean Brews last month. I tweaked it for my preferences, (mashed at 145, and used WLP005), but the grain bill was essentially the same. Would definitely recommend it. I really need to brew another Belgian ale, and this does sound good. I've been tossing around a Blond recipe for a while.

Great channel! I think he has a super logical approach. A sour blonde would be super fun

Do you perform a sparge after lifting grains out of the wort and let it drain?? Thanks

Not always, especially on these smaller machines. I just assume around 60% efficiency

Does anvil make that little hop basket you have? I neeeedd one of them, just finished an IPA and had like a gallon of hops at the bottom lol 😅

Great video as always! How do you taste beer/ ale like that? I have had a slowly evolving tasting ability but man sometimes I do not think I am drinking the same thing as others.
@HopsANDgnarly3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I think taste is something you have to develop with intention. I like to cook and bbq and drink lots of beer so I get a lot of practice in lol
@jaggersbrewingco3 жыл бұрын
@@HopsANDgnarly I am slowing gaining the tasting power. I think having done some smash(ish) type brews have helped not only pick out not only hops but other items too.
