Remember it being a marvellous match at the time and having to go up to bed as a child, as it was on very late on tv that night in the UK. Missed extra-time, but what a match. You just don't know what's going to happen next! I do remember Belanov's wonder goal and Ceulemans' turn for his goal.

@werner van gelder Actually, if you watch closely from different replay angles, I'm inclined to say it's on-side. That ball travelled for at least three whole seconds before it reached Ceulemans, and all the while (as shown in one of the replays) you can see him backing up for several meters in anticipation of the ball. The Soviet rightback at the lower part of the screen is the closest defender to the goal and only starts running when he realized Ceulemans is left unmarked, but also quickly gave up because he knew he was too late. I guess most people think it's off-side because one of the replays only shows the moment when the ball already reached him, of course at that point it looks as if he's at least a meter off-side (compared to that rightback defender). But he most likely was not offside the moment the pass was given. Besides, why do you think the Soviets didn't even protest the goal? Same with the Enzo Scifo goal. The moment Vercauteren sends the pass, he starts a sprint passed his close defender into the empty area, controls the ball and taps it in. The full back was even closer to goal than his personal defender at the moment of the pass. And again, no protest from the Soviets. :)
