AUSSIE TRAIN DRIVER 2024

AUSSIE TRAIN DRIVER 2024

2 жыл бұрын

A Hyperlapse from SSR's P18 locomotive from Belgrave in the Dandenong Ranges down the 1:30 to upper Ferntree Gully and onto the city of Melbourne Australia.
This line is run by metro and suburban Emu's but the Ev120 track recording car was up there This day and the go pro got the footage. Hopefully quality is okay, Filmed in 4k.

Between Bayswater and Heathmont netballs courts that’s where me and my 3 boys hang out on an old BMX track .We love watching the trains go by. We missed the diesel this time a bit of a rarity on a electric line .Maybe next time eh 👍👍🇦🇺

There's a diesel running out of bayswater every night for the next few weeks, leaves between 1900 and 2030 most nights.

The trick with these types of videos and drone footage without lineside sounds is the music choice, well done on your choice. Anthony

Cheers for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it. Music choice? Does it work.. It's one of the hardest parts of making these time lapses.. I spend hours looking for the right music, and editing sound, I'm a novice but I'm on the "right track" haha

@@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER I didn't take much note of the music as I was mesmerized by the scenery. I can say that it is well paced for the speeded-up video playback. It might be interesting to have it occasionally interrupted by the train horn and other railroad noises such as wheels going over track, engines spooling up (played at regular speed, of course). Most importantly, the music was not annoying at all, which I can't say for a lot of KZbin videos. Great thanks for all the time you invest and great respect for the quality of your work. I gew up in Montana USA, which is covered with snow much of the year. These are the kind of films that would give us some psychological comfort during the long winters. Cheers from the USA.

Awesome, it's crazy to know the reach of these videos, the pocket money is great for camera gear like more cameras, the lap top I edit on came from the funds here, so it's all well spent and I know this is a side of what we do that no one gets to see, but always done with safety the no.1 priority! Hence the gopros.. Magnet on, record, edit later. I don't even get to see the views the camera sees so it's good fun to edit because for me it's the first time I've seen it too.

@@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER Your camera mounts and their views and angles are so good. I try to take the train whenever I am traveling but find it somewhat restricting as 1) I may not get a window seat, 2) the window my be only a a partial window or poorly placed in relation to the seat, and 3) I can look out at only one side at a time and definitely not directly forward. I could take this same ride as a passenger and not get nearly the enjoyment I get from your cameras. I wish we had some train drivers here in the USA that would do the same. But it is probably outlawed, just like so many other fun things. We can't even put a drone over railroad tracks.

@@danoc51 that's nuts, it would be ace to see some from the usa.. They could always remain anonymous.. Not many would recognise a little gopro on the front surely.

Nice to see you back again. I noticed several stations had loops around them so that if the station is occupied you can still go around and continue on. Number one is we don't take passenger travel seriously {msinly on east and west coasts are they functional}.. In most cases the freight trains have priority as they are the money makers (mostly hauling stuff made in China). Maybe with infrastructure bill passed it might change, but I doubt it. Again, great video.i

I can never work out the signal lights, why is there a red and a green and which ones do you have to stop or go on? Not even sure if they have lights over here in Tassie.

They are all speed signals in Victoria. Anythi f with a bottom illuminated colour is a medium speed signal, 40kmh, 65kmh or 80kmh, top light is normal speed, have a look at www.vicsig.com.au for more info.
