Sorry, I blame this 100% on Bill. First he run's Tom out b'c he has this absurd notion he (Bill) is behind the success of the team...LOL. Gronk then leaves as well. Next, he picks up Jones in the draft, Mac had an INCREDIBLE rookie season, simply stunning IMO. He had a competent QB coach/Offensive coach. However, still, he has NO weapons on the team, no real #1 wideout that can stretch the field. Most folks don't believe it but I feel Mac has that ability to put the ball down the field based on previous plays I've seen. Year 2, Bill saddles this kid, fresh off a break out stat defining season w/the 2 worst individuals he can find b'c he (Bill....is clueless), so now we have a season of regression by Jones, once again, no weapons and now he's got confidence issues w/the antics of BB playing the Benching Game. Hell, you could stick Mahomes or Jackson beind that O line and 79% of the plays would be QB runs out of a necessity in order NOT to take a sack b'c you dont have decent receivers who can get separation on a consistent basis and a line that crumbles faster than a 80lb kid trying to bench his own weight. I can't speak on the "dirty plays", I looked again and again at the Carolina game and the Jets game a few weeks back. Why was Mosely not flagged for slamming him AFTER the whistle called? Why did Gardner feel the need to run over there to begin with, I'm having to guess an this is just me, to add fuel to the fire. With the camera angles you couldn't see what clearly happened, however, if...IF Mac did clock him in the nuts as hard as Gardner claims....he sure af didn't show any sign of discomfort. BB needs to go, his ego is dragging this team down, it's all but destroyed any confidence Jones had in himself and as far as beating the win record? LOL..."Fahgetaboutit"..... Take a play from McDaniels. He has surrounded Tua w/talent out the wazoo, Tua knows he has options and the offense doesn't rest squarely on his shoulders, Miami has a decent Oline as well, so he has time set his feet and make quick throws, or time to put it downfield to one of the 2 fastest wideouts in the NFL. Bill lucked out w/Brady and while yes, defensively he schemed very well, defense without an offense is just dragging out a loosing season.

Why are we talking about the QB at all? Good grief do these conversations miss the big picture by a mile.
@georgen588211 ай бұрын
I've said the same thing also. But there is always a fall guy, and do we really believe it will be Bill this time? The argument about whether or not he is the guy is valid. But you can't discount the fact that he has had three offensive coordinators in three years, has mediocre receivers at best, a horrid offensive line, and a coach who hates him. If you plug every other QB into this system how many thrive? Maybe Mahomes and Allen, one or two others at most. The team is where they are right now solely because of Belichick, no one else. He is the coach and GM. he put this team together. Four years later they have no identity and have not progressed even a little(outside of getting smashed in the one playoff game two years ago at the hands of the Bills). I am ok if they do a full rebuild at this point.

I can agree with much of what is said, but I have question the intellectual honesty when they bring up the football inflation nonsense. When you have everyone from Junior High School students to MIT physicists proving without question that there was nothing going on there (especially when you look at the pressures in the Colts' footballs), to bring it up now is sheer stupidity. Add to that the whole incident with Gardner, and yeah, that's moronic. It doesn't negate legitimate concerns and criticisms that are leveled, but bringing up childish stuff in a childish rant is...well, it's childish. About the QB, the "you must change the QB" comment makes no sense, especially when you follow it up with Zappe didn't do well either. In the end, it's irrelevant who is in at QB - if the O-Line is the worst in the league, that's what happens, the QB can't do the job. Nor the RB's, I hasten to add. Why is no one ripping on them? Is the QB "broken"? Maybe. To some extent, yes. It is over, is there no hope for him? Jury's still out on that. But if he's broken, I'd say the responsibility lies at the feet of the HC and the GM.
