Thank you for being so vulnerable Thomas...you are an incredibly resilient human. No child should go through trauma. Big hugs to you, and to all of those that can relate to your story.

I have gotten used to the idea that I will likely laugh out loud while listening to you guys. But I never thought that I would actually cry. Thank you so much Thomas for being so genuine, honest and vulnerable and trusting us with your trauma. You sharing such a vulnerable story is so commensurate with the genuineness and honesty that we hear in every review, every episode of The Drop, and everything that you do. You all are amazing. Thank you and much love

This is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever heard. Thomas, your story is emblematic of the concepts of overcoming adversity, finding one’s passion and creating a life’s work based on it. I found myself moved, entertained and ultimately full of respect for your ability to establish honorable values through such a difficult childhood and youth, and your creativity and persistence to succeed without compromising those values. I can’t wait to hear Meaghan’s and Robbe’s podcasts!

Much of this resonated with me. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Thomas. I've been in that place where the emotions of the memory you're sharing (and the realization that you're sharing it aloud publicly) hit hard, and you end up emoting more than you expected. It's a vulnerable place to be, but your bravery in talking about some of your experiences means a lot to those of us who have survived our own traumas. Your creativity, perseverance, and resilience are inspiring, and you've built a purposeful life and a community that brings so much joy and support to runners. These origin podcasts are awesome, and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been curious about how you all met. You and the whole BITR team are amazing, and I truly hope to meet you all someday.

Needless to say, incredible toughness here, Thomas! and B.I.T.R Team - the level of vulnerability in these initial “Origin Stories” pods is truly inspirational - Kudos. In a world where literally everyone on social media is portraying a perfect life | it’s comforting to see that normal people with real struggles still exist - and have later succeeded.

Thank you for sharing your story with us, Thomas. Clearly that was hard to do, but I hope it was healing to give voice to some things that you’ve experienced and are probably still processing. I know we’ve only meet a few times and it’s weird for me to say, but I’m very happy that you’ve created a positive life and environment for your family. I admire your ability to take the risk of ending something that you know isn’t working to start something new. That takes a lot of courage. Keep on being a badass, buddy!

I stumbled across BITR two years ago during my first adventure building to a HM and I was immediately entertained by the weekly shenanigans…but it’s the humanity that makes me tune in week after week. Thank you for sharing how you were able to transform unspeakable beginnings into a platform to help others believe in themselves and chase their dreams. When we’re forced to survive some turn cruel, but you chose creativity and kindness. It’s hard to show emotion publicly, but it’s this human connection we crave and need to thrive. I always say if I didn’t laugh I’d cry- and you show it’s important to be good at both. So glad to support the team with my first Grit next month. You and Robbe are truly the 🐐🐐 of grit. Thanks for sharing and inspiring 🖤

Very in. We all think that it only happened to me.. My parents were always there but nothing I did was good enough and I they really had their own own life. We had good food.. Nice cloth.. Good education but they never showed love or anything like that. Worse was when they got divorced and remarried. My brother and I, grown up already, were put in last place behind the new partner younger children.. We had a family business and our father fired us because his new young wife wanted it all for her suns.. Even worse after we got on our feet and started our first business my father was using the information we told him during rare family meetings to approach our client with a better offer as he knew from us what we were doing.. Like they say you are never free from your parents until they are dead.. ❤
