Great interview. Mike's comments about hiding parts of you as an immigrant/minority or considered "ethnic" is so relatable.

Great conversation - I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one that have struggled to run slow on easy run days. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

This was a fun episode to listen to! Meg, thanks for asking the questions that I’ve wanted to ask Ko!😂 I listen to a lot of audiobooks too and my husband is a reader. Thank goodness I’m not alone! The moment I open a book 📕 😴!

Amazing content having 3 ability levels on the same drop and talking about so many pertinent topics that are not always talked about. That pacing topic is so important. Thank you, all 3 of you.❤❤❤

Great interview. Just one correction, @kofuzi: In the 70’s most orchestras in major cities unionized and with additional support from the NEA and various other organizations evolved into full time jobs, most of which now pay well, have job security (tenure), health insurance and pensions. What you describe applies to free-lance musicians, but an orchestra like the NY Philharmonic is a very secure full-time job except for the subs and “extras”.

Great interview, watch Believe, Kofuzi and Run Testers and some others and thoroughly enjoy. Saucony interesting company (have 3 Speed 3's) i see their parent company's share price is down 75%, moving to 2 year cycles, maybe all not well with the brand.

Really good interview. I wasn't aware that Thomas was from the Bay Area. I grew up in South City and I agree 100% about the availability of asian food. Currently in Asheville, NC and the asian food scene is pretty sparse.

Love the podcast. I’m a masters or old master runner, so every time you guys talk about pace, it’s definitely relative. And sub 3 depends on your age group 😂

Omg.. Kids made fun of me when my mom packed rice balls because she didn’t know what PBJ was. Seaweed was disgusting back then. Look at everyone now… I too wanted to be American like everyone else and not Asian.

The collective experience of the Asian diaspora is definitely a whiplash moment, going from feeling ashamed of our culture and not knowing why when we were kids, to suddenly finding it to be trendy and fetishized in some cases. Ultimately I think if one more first generation kid doesn’t have to experience what I or others did growing up, or feel proud of their heritage, then that’s worth the parts of my culture that might get commodified or “appropriated”.
