1. Vibram is really killing it in the trail space. 2. Can't wait for the reviews for these and so many of the 2025 releases. 3. Why do you think Hoka, Nike seem ok with weight gain, but it seems like everyone else is actively either trying to drop it or keep it the same with added stack height?

Couldn't agree more... do not understand why Hoka have made the changes they have this year. Nike has been out of touch for a while.

@@sturmunro The Zegama 2 is probably one of the best recent trail shoes released. Lots of folks used the Zegama 2 to great results at Cocadona, Western States, etc. The Tecton x 3 might be one of the best trail shoes I have used. So I'm not sure I agree with Hoka or Nike being "out of touch." I will say that I have used Norda in the past, and they were the worst trail shoes I have ever used -- especially when a shoe like the Adidas Agravic Terrex or the Tecton x 3 exists. So, I'm not sure I understand the Norda hype. Saying that, no need to hype Norda by bashing the pretty killer shoes that Hoka and Nike are putting out there.

@@christopherorman5769sorry I wasn’t specific - you’re right about the 2024 shoes. I was talking about the new ones that are ahead for 2025 based on TRE video, eg Hoka Mafate has gained lots of weight for the next version

I've looked at Norda & its on my "to do" list but I've got 3 pairs of Kjerag, a pair of Tomir, & some Ultra Glide 2s to wear out first. Since I'm nearly 60 I'm fairly sure they'll probably outlast my ability to run trails.. or possibly even, breathe..

I love it how new trail-focused brands are reshaping the trail show market. I hope they are coming up with some non-race shoes for normal people to use as a daily trail shoe as a lot of them are crazy expensive.

Can or will Norma partner to provide resoling for this shoe, as this is very uncommon in the US?

That shoe could definitely be resoled. There are some fantastic businesses in the UK that will resole running shoes in particular, with vibram outsoles

The norda 005 is made with Vibram's newest compound Mega Grip ELITE and it is exclusive to the norda 005. It's like an "F1 race day rubber" and the most advanced the company has ever created. This is the finest ever made by Vibram.

I'm more interested in the 008, got to be a high stack shoe from Norda. And I think a 007 has got be made surely, with that Bond reference.

No 007 (unfortunately)... model names are based off the Fibonacci sequence

I have copies of the 001, 002, 003 and I was really looking forward to there new shoes for 2025. However, I see that this new shoe also has a limp heal counter. Too bad, very disappointed, so I wot be getting this 005 model. My belief is that trail shoes should have a reliable heal counter. There next shoe should have been one with the lower of the 001 and the upper of the 002.

Haven't heard anyone ever say they have "copies" of a shoe. What does that mean?

Many shoe companies disagree. The Adidas Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra has an un-traditional/padded "limp" heel counter as well as many Salomon shoes.

The heel counter on this shoe is different than the 001. More cupped, more flexible, adheres to the sock, and softer larger pads on the side. You’d be surprised it’s an amazing lockdown Would you call a climbing harness limp? Limp doesn’t mean much when the fabric is strong, non stretch, and secure in the right ways

Cool shoe, not in my shoe price range. It seems Nnormal and mountains to coast are also great options for durable shoes at better prices compared to this brand.

Not to shill for Norda, but we talked with Max Joliffe at TRE, who recently won the Moab 240, and he told us he has a pair of Norda with 1,500 miles on it, and the only thing that wore down was the Vibram outsole down to the midsole, which is insane. The Dyneema upper is indestructible. Not sure any other brand can beat that.

@@Believeintherun🙏 Believe in The Run: at norda, we call that "Show me, don't tell me". Most brands "tell you their shoes are durable or they should last xx miles." Norda doesn't say anything, the run community just runs over 1500km on norda shoes again and again. Show me, dont tell me.

This guy is a bit annoying... But nice shoes, although the first 3 models are very warm, so only for cool climates and the heel collar of the 001 isn't great (looks like the 005 too). And what's that BS about skipping the 004? It's just because that number is bad in Asia 😂

There will be no 004, next model is 008... shoe numbering sequence based off Fibonacci

Norda numbering follows the Fibonacci sequence. We skip the 004. The 008, then 013 will follow the 005. Annoying to the point that I'm real and would be pleased to answer any questions you have. You can invite me for a run or coffee too ;)

@@nickmartirehey nick. Love the 001. Best trail shoe I’ve ever worn and just raced super technical 100 miler in it in Australia called GPT. Only issue with it is the thin non padded heel. It’s not lack of lockdown which was great. Rubbing. I love the shoe so much I ended up problem solving by buying foam I stuck in the heel, plus wearing thick bandaids over the spots that rub. I’ve heard (not tried) the 002 solves the heel issue. But it’s not designed (to my understanding) for the 100k and 100mile distances. Hoping the 005 is like the 001 with a heel that doesn’t give the rubbing. The super light specs also sound awesome
