My brother if we are Body Soul and Spirit, Matthew 10:28confuses me , I believe Adam and Eve were the only ones that was Body Soul and Spirit, and they left mankind spiritually dead. Until the death of Jesus, that verse tells me man is body and soul? Just looking for understanding 🤔

The soul and body are the only parts of us that can be"destroyed". Our spirit cannot be as it is eternal. The spirit of man is either dead (because of sin/The Fall) or it is alive (because of Christ) but it cannot be destroyed, it will always be throughout eternity. Our body gives us "world consciousness" Our soul gives us "self consciousness" and Our spirit gives us "GOD consciousness". This verse makes perfect sense.

Thank you for helping me with my confusion on this matter, the only spirit that it mentions that we have is the breath of life and Man became a living soul, and when we die it returns back to God, I believe our soul is the only part of us that is eternal, that's why this battle is over our soul and that our spirit?
