But honestly, I think whether it happened or not is irrelevant for our generation as we do not have the means to prove or disprove it other than testimonies at this point. Quran is meant to challenge every generation of every advancement. Right now we're being challenged by its predictions of the future, scientifical relevance, the practicality of its social structures, existential answers, numerical sciences, its literature, etc, and that's what we should be studying.

I'm a Christian. The verse she quoted is not in Matthew 5 as he says. Matthew 5,6,7 are chapters that deal with the 'sermon on the mount' and Jesus did speak about marriage and divorce there. But she quotes Mark 10.5 where Jesus says that divorce was allowed in Moses' time only as a concession to people's hard hearts. And to be honest, she didn't make any mistakes in the quotation. This man misunderstood her verse for a different verse that deals with divorce and took the conversation in a totally different direction. I'm surprised that no one here read the Bible enough to notice this. Just because he gives some reference spontaneously, it doesn't mean he is right.

30 Yrs we all pray for my dad and my dad changed from the alcoholic. My mom never gave up praying until he died. ( My mom passed away with Cancer when I was 18. But I'm glad and happy for I've such a wonderful Mom in my life. But in the matter of divorce I think you also didn't notice the main things written in the Quran And Sahih Hadees(teachings of our Holy Prophet PBUH) In Islam a husband has the right to divorce... a women just can demand.... But Allah and his Messenger didn't ordered any women to leave her husband.... It just that who don't want to stay , can only go if the husband agrees to divorce her... Divorce is derogatory to Husband not wife... it's clearly written in the Quran And Hadees... Islam doesn't give a woman the choice... it's the husband who is given the choice.... In Islam decision makers are Husbands... So how could wife be the decision maker... You are just trying to promote some of the things from fatwas and stories made up by fake scholar's.... Just like Halala which is strictly forbidden in Islam.... But still nowadays it's encouraged because of some fatwas and stories made up by the fake scholar's which are unauthentic.... Zakir Naik is almost among them who don't know how to preach... most of the time I see he spreads negativity in matters of marriage rather than spread positivity.... In hadees it's clearly written that our Holy Prophet S.A.W clearly said that Husband has the more right on a women she can't even pay it back.... If a Husband is not pleased with his wife she will not enter jannah.... So bringing and making it all the time normal for women by saying she can walk out without her Husbands consent from a marriage is strictly haram or forbidden and which is why it isn't written in the Quran or Hadees. Instead Holy Prophet PBUH insisted on solving the problems.... And a sincere and true Muslim wife is also proved from one hadees that Even if her husband says something bad words to her or is angry she will take his hand will not leave it until his anger cools down... this how our Holy Prophet PBUH told the Muslim women.... Abuses happen in every relations... Don't we have some parents and siblings who abuse us verbally???? these type of things have been told in Islam to be solved in the house... It can't come out.... Are not there are some domestic violence cases done by parents, siblings towards each other???? Why all the time these fools try to portray domestic violence with husband only.... Aren't there some newborn babies get killed by their parents or thrown In the trash??? And if there is a sort of domestic violence... which can not be tolerated In that case there are strict laws to punish such people with 40 lashes... In Islam there's a shariah Law that if someone harm's (does cruel) with some other living thing... he/she shall be punished with 40 lashes.... Why all the time these people bring up some cases of violence done by some Husbands???? Why not talk about domestic violence done by parents or brothers towards their daughters, sisters???? In that case these people don't encourage the women for such things e.g., to get separated from her parents or brother etc etc.... Instead these people insist the law to bring solve the problem and give punishments to such parents or brothers so they won't do that again.... And give proper education But in the matter of Husbands.... Why all the time encourage them to leave their Husbands and especially through un-islamic and haram ways where women doesn't need her Husbands consent for divorce???? Why are these double standards and hypocritical views made by these people???? If there are strictly Islamic laws and proper education to change the mindset of new generation... these type of domestic violence crimes will significantly be reduced.... And keep in mind not all violence cases are by Husbands first of all... these include other male relatives like father brother of the women.... In Islamic Shariah its clearly written that there's no Paradise for the women who breaks her Husbands heart.... And you encourage divorce and surprisingly without Husbands consent which is totally unislamic.... Just to make the women superior and do whatever she wants... who knows what happens in the homes... I have seen sometimes its the wives who provoke their husbands to do these violence acts.... You Can't judge someone and encourage divorce things... you don't have the right even our Holy Prophet PBUH didn't encouraged or told any women to do this kind of acts..... So who are you to encourage women towards divorce who aren't given the permission to walk away without their Husbands permission. ... even Islam didn't gave the women right to go outside the house without her Husband permission... And here surprisingly it's being encouraged to go to the courts and file divorce and humiliate your husband with the help of non-mahrams????? Let me ask where is it written Or the right have been given to the judge or courts in the Quran or Hadees???? Authentic hadees like Sahih Bukhari????? In my opinion no word has been used like that in the Quran or Sahih Hadees(Authentic one).... There's no place for non-mahrams to come in between and decide the future of husband and wife.... Even Relatives who are Mahram are also not allowed to interfere in between husband and wife.... they are just told to come and try to solve their issues.... Rest its up to the husband what he decides.... Even there is a serious punishment for those in the judgement day who tried to separate husband and wife.... And I am surprised here to see everyone considering it there right to interfere and separate Husband and wife... I think these people have forgotten that they have to answer Allah about their deeds and the way they are creating fitna in here... Including Zakir Naik has a lot of history in the misinterpretation he does about Islam!!!! In Islam it is encouraged to be patient and solve your problems and make dua to Allah S.W.T... and we all know there are thousands ways you can... And wife who pays attention to her husband she can bring him towards the right way... It's main responsibility lies on the wife to make her home because she is the pillar of the home.... she is the home maker... And people like these who encourage her these stupid acts instead of trying to solve her relationship problems make the situation worse... and that's there intentions to break other people homes (husbandwife relations)... it's clear these type of people aren't satisfied with their own lives, that is why they come and try to mess with other people family relations. ... And these are the acts of Shaitan to mess with husband wife relationships....

It's clearly shows how these type of people all the time start to critizie Husbands whenever there's a hadees in support of them... because they got more right on the wife...they can't digest this thing.... and try to start "if" and "but" discussion.... this shows how weak their Iman is.... a person with strong Iman don't argue with "if" and "but" whenever there's an direct order from Allah And his Messenger. ... A strong Iman person accepts the order without any arguments. ... The women who are not sincere with their Husbands always try to argue with their Husbands rights which are clearly written... in Quran and Bukhari Hadees. .. Our mother's and grandmother's were not like these women who nowadays days all the time gets annoyed by Husbands rights and just because they can't digest it, they think it's OK for them to argue on Allah and his Messenger commandments.... This is completely wrong!!!! Women should fix their attitudes if they really want to be an ideal Muslim women... Our mother's, grandmother's would even have died for their Husbands cause.... But sorry to say these so called liberal minded women nowadays have forgotten these values and try to spoil the Concepts of Islam by matching their feminist beliefs of self independence... Feminism clearly means Going against your Husbands and encouraging the women to break their relations especially in a haram way without their Husbands consent.... and leave their Husband house instead of (making it a better place and fulfilling Husbands rights and needs and taking a stand for their husband being always their whenever her husband needs them) they try to promote women to leave their Husbands home just because of their selfishness... A marriage dont survive by thinking about your needs but a marriage survives only when you give your everything for the cause of the other person.... that's how it works... But these women only want benefits just for themselves not for their relationship... That's why these type of people desire to leave and also give silly advices to others... BTW they don't have the right to give such silly advices to someone... Islam didn't give permission to interfere in husband wife relations and encourage them to break.... instead in Islam it is only encouraged to the relatives to help the couple solve their problems and if they fail... rest Is up to the husband and wife to decide what they want!!!. But here there are some foolish women who think it's there right to break someone's relationships by giving silly advices that are totally un-islamic and against the teachings of Allah And his Messenger.... Plz I would suggest to avoid the company of such people especially women who have this kind of un-islamic views and opinions towards marriage and divorce... People with this type of mindsets don't care about someone or there feelings because they are stone hearted people who have no feelings... They don't understand the definition of sincerity towards their Husband... They are not devoted wives... please me aware of such kind of hypocrite and Fitna spreading women .... Our Holy Prophet PBUH forbade the women to not go against their husbands dislikes. ... And these women think it as their right to leave their Husbands and make them suffer.... This is not an example of True Ideal Devoted Muslim Women.... If you want to be an ideal Muslim wife do the things that Hazrat Khadija R.A, Hazrat Ayesha R.A and Hazrat Fatima R.A did with their Husbands as a wife... and don't do the things that were not done by them!!!! Like this you could only become an ideal Muslim Wife!!!!
