Belize Watch Gilharry 7 Band June 4, 2024

For decades, the Gilharry Seven Band has been a mainstay on the Belizean musical scene. Last year the band celebrated its 50th anniversary. Our Belize Watch team travelled to the family home in San Antonio Village in the Corozal District where we spoke with band manager, Shane Gilharry, his sister Norma and brother Evan. We were also joined by his wife, Bernadette as they shared how the band came together and even though they have had their fair share of challenges, they have managed to keep the band together.
