A lot of EMS helicopter services here in the US are switching to the Bell 429 because of it's speed , agility , and smooth ride which benefits not only the crew but the patient !

rather have a bell than any other heli....the ec 135 and 145 are junk....

Unfortunately the 429 takes a pilot who is 25 years old when he begins the start up, he ends up 73 years old when he eventually takes off, if you want state of the art of everything twin engine helicopters the only choice is Airbus helicopters..

I’m a bit late but this is not true, i’ve only had a handful of very small flights in the 429. Lately, with our police here in New Zealand. I have to say tho that the 429 has one of the easiest start ups I’ve seen, it is so simple and seamless. I’ve also flown in the H145 and much prefer the flight in the 429, more stable and much much easier to handfly.
