Good choice on the music. Subtle and tasteful, not too overpowering.

I love it, very clear, direct and easy preflight/startup. However, I still prefer the analog flight instruments instead of an all screen instrument panel. The screen Flight Management System and Weather Radar screen is okay😁

I really enjoyed this, very informative. It’s amazing how simple it is to start compared to a 206! One question: why was it dubbed with the sound of a Huey for the flying segments?

Hi! I'd like to recommend to you and all of you a funny but cool aviator I've been following and subscribing to for the past week; his name is James Asquith, and his KZbin channel is also named James Asquith! He creates fun and educational vlogs on flying and tourism. If you haven't already, you should subscribe to his KZbin channel.

I thought it was just me, I heard the sound of the UH-1 Huey!🤔😂

No, it is also a 2 blade like the huey and they sound very similar.

Nice video, A couple of questions:you go to “fly” mode, then do the hydraulics check and you raise the collective up. Why isn’t the helicopter lifting itself.? What did i miss? Second question when you turn the generator on, the battery switch seems to be off, or does it spring load back to the center position after you turn it on? Thanks!
@SUUAviation Жыл бұрын
Hi Jean, when the Collective is rolled into Fly it is setting the main rotor rpm to the range it needs to creat lift. The raise of the collective was just enough to insure the hydraulics worked properly.

May I ask, when were these pictures of Powell filmed? The 505 is what I am buying and what I am going to get my ad-on, commercial and instrument in. Perfect for my wants and needs. Basically my personal heli. And if the future goes as planned then I will buy a 407 to be a hangar mate.

The music is annoying for an instructional video where you want to hear everything the machine is doing.

Where did you get the helmet? I enjoy the 206B but this would make things a lot more easier as a TFO.

I love helicopters, and I think they are phenomenal machines. I have never flown in a helicopter, and I just wonder if I would be able to tolerate flying in one. My fear is that I would get sick and nauseated! I know of a guy who that happened to. And he would have been the last person you would have expected to have this reaction. He was a huge guy, about 6.5 in height and fairly fit. Furthermore, he was actually a big boss at a major corporation that I worked for at the time. Although I was not present when it happened, someone who was on the flight with him said that the pilot had to actually turn the flight around, and let him off.
@SUUAviation3 жыл бұрын
Hey George, every person has a different reaction to flying. If you’re wanting to know how you’d handle a ride in a helicopter, we highly recommend taking an intro flight. In fact, we’re doing a giveaway for an intro flight right now. All you have to do is subscribe to our channel and you’re automatically entered!
@georgeandy69233 жыл бұрын
@@SUUAviation Okay will do! And you are correct, everybody's reaction would be different. I would just hope that mine would be okay, because I do love these machines, and I find them quite fascinating!!

We hope so too. Being up in the air is an amazing experience, and we love sharing those experiences with others.
@codmott2863 жыл бұрын
helicopters are more likely to make you sick than fixed wing due to lots of sudden changes in direction during flight (altitude like going up and down like an elevator, and shifting left and right like in a race car). Coupled with the vibrations it could make for an unpleasant time. Only way to find out is to try.
@SUUAviation3 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the person, have you seen our video on how to pick either fixed wing or rotor wing?

@blave5493 жыл бұрын
I found it interesting at how the tail droops on takeoff, esp. with no-one in the back seat. Is that normal?
@SUUAviation3 жыл бұрын
Yes, totally normal. Most of the weight is in the middle/back of the helicopter, so if there is only one person in it, it tends to be back-heavy. As the fuel burns throughout the flight, the center of gravity shifts forward making it feel a little more even.

I would still prefer manual startup, better connection and feel of the machine rather than trusting a computer

Are these checks done prior to every flight? Is this SUU standard or is this a universal procedure?
@SUUAviation3 жыл бұрын
Hey Danny, they are done before every flight. This is mostly a universal procedure however there may be some things SUU does for additional safety measures.
