I did my primary helicopter training in the 406 from Whiting Field near Pensacola FL (USN). this cockpit makes me feel like I was flying a Sopwith Camel.

That was a sweet. I quite enjoyed that flight. Nice takeoff,beautiful landings and perfect flight conditions. Fellow Rotor-heads will agree. Who really cares about the music. Didn’t bother me at all.

Sorry but the music almost had me quit watching and I turned down my volume. I guess you also turned down the music. Low volume bad music is just a tiny bit better than loud annoying music.

Why do helicopter pilots generally not use checklists?

We definitely do, however coming from a military background we were required to commit certain items and “flows” to memory and then supplement this by referring to the checklist which is sitting in the center console (outside the frame). The Bell 505 also incorporates a dual channel FADEC that controls the engine start, reducing pilot input when compared to other helicopters.

@@viniciusreis7898 Certainly, the G1000H also has a feature where you can upload the checklist and use it digitally on the MFD. Also with a Bluetooth audio panel or headset some pilots utilize the Foreflight checklist “speak” function which reads the checklist in a challenge and response format.
