About Tracy Ma, host of Financial Nirvana Mama:
I help Canadian investors, business owners, professionals who are action takers go from self doubt to confident in building multiple streams of income & wealth so that they can ultimately live their BEST LIFE.
I'm Canadian, former environmental engineer turned real estate & stock investor, featured in Huffington Post, Canadian Real Estate Wealth Magazine, AOL Finance and much more. But mainly I'm a wannabe dancer, fitness enthusiast and mother of twins.
My 1st 'aha moment’ was when I killed my student loans after slaving away at 3 jobs, 70+ hr weeks, and BURNING OUT. I changed my life by investing in real estate & stocks while holding an engineering career, young family (twins) and life. At 35, I built a 7 figure++ legacy so I left engineering + gov't golden handcuffs to live life on my terms.
My #1 goal is to help you GAIN time freedom using real estate, stocks & life hacks

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

I completely agree; I am 60 years old, recently retired, and have approximately $1,250,000 in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, having a portfolio-advisor for investing is genius!

The name of my investment advisor is " Margaret Johnson Arndt." She is a true genius when it comes to diversified portfolios, which make portfolios less susceptible to market downturns, and has a strong reputation in her area. You may already be familiar with her name; a Newsweek article gave me the information I needed. She is someone you could Google.

Because of the significant amount of mortgages that are up for renewal in 2024, governments, mainly US and Can, have to begin to decrease interests rates to avoid a real-estate and financial crisis. I don't see anyway around at least a slight pull back in rates. If and when this happens, Bells interest expanse will come down significantly.

Great job; I will be super keen to see how their next few quarters turn out to see if some of these measures help them improve their fundamentals.

High debt with debt getting more expensive leads me to want to sit on the fence and see if BCE starts trending up in the future. By then, maybe VDY might also be more attractive to me at that point.

According to my research, BCE free cash flow payout ratio for FY1 is 50.65%

Ya if the company has positive free cash flow then it's dividend is already payed out and you ignore the payout ratio from the auto calculators.

Actually, BCE has the lowest debt level among big three if you use Debt to EBITDA ratio. i have never use Debt to Market Capital ratio cause when share price is down, the ratio drop too, but it doesn't mean so much for the company's operation. Also, I believe It's free cash flow will improve a lot once they slow down 5G investment and the interset rate decrease. I think it's perfect time to buy. never follow the crowd.

Do you need the money for five years? The financial sector is going through a rough patch because of high interest rates but do you think it will make money still in five years? It’s a long term game. Short term pain, long term gain. Also depends on what bank too. I see it as on sale right now with my fav banks.

BCE is not Bell Media or Bell Mobility. BCE is the parent company that owns both. You and I can’t buy shares of Bell Mobility or Bell Media. BCE Inc., an abbreviation of its full name Bell Canada Enterprises Inc., is a publicly traded Canadian holding company for Bell Canada, which includes telecommunications providers and various mass media assets under its subsidiary Bell Media Inc.

Both bce and t are solid but in the short term I’m not adding much. If the dividends get cut I’ll dump some cash in for sure but until then just DRIPping as always. Lifetime hold but not rushing to add. More into financial and energy still

BCE and T should cut their dividend to pay off some debts for long time plan. I personally will add more BNS at this moment
@KBSheldon0926
@KBSheldon0926 6 ай бұрын
Why should they do that? BCE free cash flow payout ratio is 50.65%. Telus is 47.65%. More than enough to pay dividends and pay down debt. Now that the 5G buildout is mostly complete, the capex spending will decrease and they can start to pay down their debt more rapidly.

@@KBSheldon0926based on what unsaid BCE’s dividend should b safe,right? Remember BCE didn’t cut its dividend during subprime issues n COVID…,none of the telco did.
