Your continued support of Bell is a big reason I ended up going with the Bell SRT Modular plus the panovision shield and love it!!

Thanks for the info on these helmets. Just started riding last year at age 58 on 2019 Tri Glide and loving every minute. You have inspired me to get out and take some longer rides this year so just waiting on the weather to warm up a bit here in Indiana.

I have a Nolan 6-1 Helmet, converts from full face, to 3/4 by remove the chin bar during the summers. You can also pull the shield off and open 3/4. Love it even during the summer here in Dallas..

I've owned helmets and hardly wore them in 40 years of riding. Fortunately every time I went down I was wearing one. Last year with a deal from my Mom I became religious about wearing my helmet. Now I wear a modular and carry different shields with me because I always seem to come home late. I've always worn my leathers but I've let heat become my excuse to not wear a helmet. At my age and appearance, a full face won't make seeing me easier on the eyes, but it'll make recovery that much better. Thank You for the info! You all are in my prayers Hoka Hey

I currently have a Bell SRT modular helmet and have been happy with it. Living in SD we really hit weather extremes from sub freezing to boiling hot. I have been considering a Bell Eliminator as a summer lid for the hot months.

I looked at these helmets when I bought the bell qualifier, I felt like having the mips compared to the eliminator at a cheaper price was a much better option

I had gotten a bell Srt modular for my first helmet and had to have it replaced after a month due to the strap breaking and the second one has not faired well either. I am replacing it with a Shoei neotec II and I have a shoei Gt Air II as well.

Bell does make a great quality helmet. Unfortunately with my long oval shaped head, I get the best fit from HJC helmets. Bell doesn’t seem to care about us “ horse head” riders. 😆 Good job on the reviews Bud. Thanks

I’m a bell guy myself I’m actually currently running the exact same set up you are with the bell star mips with the sena 50s . I absolutely love it ! Comfortable and gets good ventilation! But have you ever looked at a super seer ? It’s what all the cops wear , I’m looking into trying one of those this year

Sonny Barger uses a full face helmet so I do too. Love my Shoei. Tried Bell but they didn’t fit my noggin.

Great helmet comparison. I too always wear a full face helmet. We raced off-road in the 70’s and 80’s. When the Bell Star came out for off-road, I bought one immediately. Never looked back. I have worn full face helmets on and off road ever since. Personally, I light the light weight and quiet Arai helmets. My wife likes Shoei. To each his own I guess. When asked about helmets, I always reply, “How much is your head worth?” You’ve made some great choices in those particular Bell Helmets. Thanks for the comparison. Ride safe and take care of yourself and Miss Ashley!

Wear a neck gator over your head inside your helmet stops your helmet getting stinky. Hot weather wet the gator is like air conditioning and in cold it keeps your head warmer. Additionally the gator fills the pockets where wind noise can get in due being an extra layer. If I wear moulded ear protection the gator allows helmet to slide past your ears and not dislodge the ear moulded plugs. Just a riding long distance tip I learnt through trial and error in various weather conditions.

i only wear a helmet in the communists states that mandate it or if or if its 25° out witch here in Oh is a lot. So i have a 50$ Bell pitboss. its a half helmet and ive never really had a issue with rain but its the only hat that'll stay on your head and keep it warm when your having 800 mile days. my dog had a plastice version of it but she didnt like it and we lost it somewhere in Alabama. That god we were able to circumnavigated the U.S without getting a ticket for her not having it but thats where were headed. ive always heard freedom isnt free but where are the freedoms of my childhood? I cant even make personal choices about my own health anymore.
