Excellent question bro...CAUSES FOR ROYAL ENFIELD POPS AND BANGS :- *It's all about programming of ECU either to our desired performance or to factory default performance apart from the condition of ACTUATORS, SENSORS AND ECU... 1.Delay in the ignition timing leads to 'fire projection' in the exhaust pipe 2.Rich mixture - increase fuel level in the air/fuel ratio leads to unburned fuel in the exhaust system. When excess fuel enters the exhaust system it increases in temperature and ignites inside the exhaust instead of the engine's combustion chamber as well as some bursting sound in the exhaust pipe 3.Less mixture - increase air flow in the air/fuel ratio leads to some jerk motion as well as some effect in the exhaust pipe 4.All these are controlled by "Software programmed ECU" 5.To start this pops and bangs tune ECU or REMAP ECU or "' Install Either PIGGYBACK ECU Or STEP ASSIST ECU between ECU & SENSORS "' together install single and lengthy 'after market silencer' with O2 Sensor fitment and without any catalyst converter to enrich this pops and bangs effect... 6.To stop this pops and bangs tune ECU to factory default software code or unplug any other step assist ECU or any PIGGYBACK ECU or any extra ECU controller between ECU & sensors together setback the stock exhaust.. *Apart from this, Condition of "Actuators & sensors" connected with ECU plays vital role as well as condition of ECU's hardware & software is also important ....
