And for sure the lockdown during the pandemic was “unprecedented times” and screwed up timelines. However, Ngannou will be AJ’s fourth fight in less than 12 months. By comparison Wilder had a one round fight against a “lower level opponent” over a 26 month period after his last defeat against Fury and before he fought Parker (who AJ beat when Joe was undefeated at the time). And in this generation of selective amnesia on YouRube comments let’s look at the actual facts of AJ’s last three (soon to be 4) apparent “lower level opponents”: - (on the back of 24 rounds with phenom Usyk) tune up fight with Franklin and AJ’s second fight with James as a trainer. A guy who people argued beat Whyte just prior. - KO against Helenius but it should have been Whyte. Whyte failing a drug test wasn’t AJ’s fault. But, Helenius was the best option as a last min replacement. Other fighters were in contract for upcoming fights and Helenius set up a “touch stone” comparison with Wilder which made for talking points. Smart last min business move given the circumstances and AJ took a massive pay cut. - TKO of Wallin. Another southpaw who people argue should have won against Fury. Wallin coming off the back of a string of wins. AJ made him look like nothing even though everyone said he would give AJ problems and personally I also thought the same. I was wrong. - Ngannou. People still think he beat Fury although I’m not in that camp. But he did make Fury look “less than” and it is a very risky fight. Thoughts?

the drug thing is a complicated business, if you have raised levels then there must be a figure that they have decided on where it is seen as legal and a figure one higher that is seen as illegal so that will never make sense because it is such a tiny difference, it would be like testing your blood pressure and getting a figure then 10 minutes later testing again and getting another figure, we also have tests for the metabolites of drugs. it's obviously way more scientific and complicated that we can appreciate, only a scientist can comprehend what is what, i also think modern testing is so sophisticated it is basically picking up a fart in the wind maybe they should just make it all legal, if you are in a sport getting your head punched in for a living then worrying about the side effects of peds is pointless. different boxers punch harser anyway, if you have a boxer who can punch average strength then give him peds and he can now punch with the strength of Deontay Wilder then where is the added risk because you could already be put in with Deontay Wilder anyway, thet should have a ped belt and let the boxer decide, if anyone gets tested positive in one of the other clean federations then they instantly get thrown into the ped untested federation ( with Dillian White)
