Definitely opd SKOOL. They do have character though. Canon Simpson would turn in his grave .ol.

Old school yes but hardly unpleasant - there are many contemporary bells that are plenty worse than these!...

@simonbellringer I actually really like them. Here is the weird thing, though: whilst I like modern bells such as Yorkminster and all those classic Taylor and Gillett bells, there is one peal of bells ,really old school that could be retuned, but I would be mortified if they were, and that is St Pauls I think it is because they are unmistakable, the sound of London, victory after the war. I'm sure this is simply subjective and that if they tuned them or even put Yorkminster in there, people would say wow they sound brilliant. I would also end up think8ng the same. You certainly get around though.
