The rank stats are like strength, agility, magic, etc. It uses the usual letter system where closer to A the better with S being above A. When an adventurer gets their stats to rank S they are ready to level up. After a level up the stats reset and they start ranking them up to S again. In order to level up they need to accomplish something to break their limits. Aiz beat a floor boss solo, Bell beat the Minotaur. Bell is now level 2. NOBODY, and I mean nobody, double levels up. The difference between levels is huge. The strongest adventurer, they guy who trained the Minotaur, is only level 7. Mind Zero is when you run out of magic and pass out. Bell's special skill is from his admiration for Aiz and lets him rank up faster than normal.

It doesn't exactly have to be S in order to level up. Most adventurers are ready to level up when their overall stats reach A or B (even C in some cases). Some specialized adventurers level up when one or two of the stats category are B or above while the other categories are between I-D. (Such as mages that rank up when their magic reaches B or above but their strength or agility are like D or something). A downside to leveling up like that is that such adventurers start their next level on weaker base stats. It is generally very rare for adventurers to reach S (the very limit for regular stats) unless they are constantly pushing their limits. It is even rarer for an adventurers to have a general S rank stats which just means their Falnas are just itching to level up. Because of the irregular skill, Bell was able to not only reach an overall S rank stats, but also reached SS and SSS stats which no regular mortal can attain no matter how hard they try. If a person with that ridiculous stats were to level up from 1 to 2, their base stats would be stacked and they would be stronger than a regular level 2. If Bell were to constantly reach an overall SSS rank for each level, he would be far stronger than his corresponding level.

they can chose to level up when the stats are C but some people choose to wait till one of the stats reach S but it's super difficult to reach an S stats i mean it's rare, the stronger your foundation the stronger your base stats when you level up, i think there are SSS stats, Bell's skills are, (Liaris Freese) increases the speed of Bell's growth as long as his feelings last. The strength of the effects is related to the strength of Bell's feelings. As a side effect, it makes him immune to charms.

All of you are wrong. You only need one D rank stat to level up. Stat points go from 1 to 999 To reach D rank on a stat you must get 500 which is ridiculously difficult even when you are lv1 (almost every adventurer is lv1) It was believed that S rank is the peak of a stat and you can't get beyond 1000 points, but bell got over that ceiling on every stat at lv 1 getting SS stats and even SSS on agility (1377) To increase a stat, you must directly train it. If you need more endurance, you must get hit and and get hurt to get endurance falna, to get more agility you need to dodge or run for agility falna... Etc..(Falna is very similar to experience points, but it depends on training and emotional desire) Falna is basically the memories for each and every stat, and they increase exponentially the more danger you are exposed to, so technically you are correct when saying that you need a big challenge to level up, simply training will barely increase your digits. When you level up, you get a huge boost on every stat, it is unknown how many points you get per stat exactly, but it is so big that you will never see a lv3 adventurer lose to a lv2, or beat a lv4, and it will always result on a landslide. When you level up, it is believed that despite all your stats being reset, they are still preserved somewhere deep within the adventurer, so even if you have 0 points everywhere, if previously you had higher agility, you will be slightly more agile than another adventurer of the same level. There are very rare exceptions regarding the rule of a lower level adventurer always losing to someone higher. If let's say, someone had an S rank ability at adventurer at lv1, 2 and 3 before leveling up, as opposed to someone having F rank on that same stat at lv 1,2,3 and 4, the level 4 adventurer will be superior to the level 5 on that particular stat, but such things are impossible, as I mentioned getting D is already a tremendous feat, getting S is close to impossible, at the same time the more points you have in a state the harder it is to improve it, this is why adventurers prefer to level up as soon as they get a D rank stat to get that huge boost and start advancing to the next level. Also the higher level you are, the harder it is to reach the next one (duh) All of this information is confirmed. If I had to speculate, I think each level up boosts all of your stats by 1000 So if u have 600 STR, 400 END, 500 DEX, 500 AGI and 300 MAG, when u level up to 2 you will have 1600 STR, 1400 END, 1500 DEX, 1500 AGI and 1300 MAG (the stats will all show 0 after leveling up but they will remain) This could be wrong because a lot of adventurers never develop magic, even after reaching lv 2 or 3 MAG always stays at 0, but magic works slightly different and my theory is most likely correct for the other stats.

Bell is gonna be super op. The dude went up four levels and it's not even a year yet in the LN timeline whereas it takes aiz to go up 1 level in a year or so. In the beginning of the series aiz was at level 6 and is still at level 6 in the LN whereas Bell leveled up 4 times in less than a year. I'm guessing he might be around level 6 or 7 by the end of the year and aiz might finally reach level 7.

I know Danmachi's level/rank system can be a bit confusing, so I'll try my best to explain it extensively. As you know, levels don't work quite like in a normal rpg setting. Rather than constantly leveling up, you can think of a level up as a huge upgrade. So even the gap between a level 1 adventurer and a level 2 is considerable in terms of raw physical ability paired with experience and skill. • *Low Class Adventurers* : Low Class Adventurers are Level 1 adventurers • *High Class Adventurers* : High Class Adventurers are Level 2+ adventurers Starting at Level 2, adventurers can also be referred to by differently numbered classes: • *Third Class Adventurers* : Third Class Adventurers are Level 2 adventurers • *Second Class Adventurers* : Second Class Adventurers are Level 3-4 adventurers • *First Class Adventurers* : First Class Adventurers are Level 5+ adventurers Bell at the time of fighting the Minotaur in this episode is still level 1, but with very high status. *But what IS status?* An adventurer's status is split up into 5 different "basic abilities". These abilities are strength, endurance, dexterity, agility, and magic. For an ordinary adventurer, these stats can range anywhere from 0-999. Depending on the number for the stat, it has a different "rank" represented by a letter. 0-99 is I, 100-199 is H, 200-299 is G, 300-399 is F, 400-499 is E, 500-599 is D, 600-699 is C, 700-799 is B, 800-899 is A, and 900-999 is S. With Bell's unique ability "Liaris Freese", he's able to grow his stats at an incredible rate, and even surpass the usual "S" ranking and raise his stats above 999 to make them "SS" or even "SSS". Ordinarily, raising a basic ability to S is very difficult, and only done by the elite adventurers. Most people level up before they reach any S rank abilities. And even those elite like the top members of the Loki familia only have one or two S rank basic abilities. With his skill, Bell manages to raise every single ability to S rank or higher. After beating the Minotaur, his stats are this: •Strength: SS 1091 •Endurance: SS 1019 •Dexterity: SS 1098 •Agility: SSS 1337 •Magic: SS 1001 Now, I want to explain what happens to basic abilities when an adventurer levels up. When an adventurer accomplishes a feat that "overfills" the container of their soul such as defeating an extremely strong monster, they are able to level up to the next level. When an adventurer levels up, all of their basic abilities reset to 0. *So, what happens to the status that disappears?* Although the displayed status is turned back to 0, all of their status from the previous level is "saved" like a layer. They keep the power they accumulated, but they can now continue to gain more status even if they maxed out to 999 in the previous level. *How powerful are higher ranked adventurers and strong familia?* Well, to put it in a clear perspective, I'll talk about the Loki familia. They are considered one of the strongest, if not the absolute strongest familia in Orario. At this point in the story they have four level 6 adventurers, three level 5, six known level 4, and many adventurers of levels 3-1. The expedition the Loki familia is going on at this point in the story is a journey down to floor 59, the deepest level ever reached. The monsters there are at an entirely different level than anything Bell has ever seen. The Minotaurs are from floor 17, and any of the high ranking members of the Loki familia could easily tear one apart.

Again, his stat spread after the battle was: Strength: SS 1091 Endurance: SS 1019 Dexterity: SS 1098 Agility: SSS 1337 Magic: SS 1001 The stat spread you're talking about is before the minotaur fight, which is shown at the end of volume 3 because it's the status he used to fight the minotaur. In fact even if you WERE using the stat spread from before the minotaur you'd still be wrong because his magic was B751 then. Also you just replied to a 1+ year old comment only to be wrong. Bruh.

this is straight up from Danmachi wiki: -about level: A level shows the rank of an adventurer. The status of an adventurer is considered to be secret information but the level of an adventurer is required to be reported and is shown to others. Most adventurers are Level 1, and currently the only Level 7s are Ottar of the Freya Familia and one other unknown person. Just defeating monsters doesn't lead to a level up. To level up, one must have a D rank in at least one Basic Ability and accomplish something that even the Gods would be impressed with, such as defeating a stronger monster. Leveling up is hard to do outside of Orario due to the only Dungeon being located there, and Level 3 outside of Orario is considered to be excellent. -The Basic Abilities are Power, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, and Magic. Each one is shown with a rank and a number from 0-999. 0-99 is I, 100-199 is H, 200-299 is G, 300-399 is F, 400-499 is E, 500-599 is D, 600-699 is C, 700-799 is B, 800-899 is A, and 900-999 is S. Basic Abilities can be raised through excilia gained from training and battles. Basic Abilities reset to I0 at every level up although the abilities gained before each level up will remain as an invisible base. It is normally impossible to go past S rank, though Bell Cranel has done this through Liaris Freese, having had statuses at SS and SSS rank -Mind Zero is when you pass down from exaustion of mana -skill that Bell has is Liaris Freese - increases the speed of Bell's growth as long as his feelings last. Here's an explaination about stats: Rank was based on the number of stats. Rank I - (0-99) stats , Rank H - (100-199 ), Rank G ( 200-299 ) , Rank F ( 300-399) , Rank E ( 400-499 ) , Rank D (500-599), Rank C (600-699) , Rank B (700-799) , Rank A (800-899) and Rank S ( 900-999). Bell's stats during that time was not all S because his only S was his Strength , Endurance , Dexterity was over 900 while his Magic ( which he recently acquired was A { 800+} ) but the reason while he can keep up by Minotaur was because his Agility broke the limit of Stats max capped which Rank SS { 1000+ } due to his rare skill { Learis Freeze}

However something they did not show in the anime is that Bell broke throught the S rank, most of his Stats were SS and Agility SSS. It goes. SSS, SS, S, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I. A Adventurer can lvl up as long as he / she has 1 stat at D rank and then he needs to do something that would impress even a God. Defeating a strong boss alone for exemple like Aiz did.

The dungeon does down, it isn’t the tower but below it. S is the highest rank of ability. In the original source the elf couldn’t explain what Bells abilities were and Aiz had to as the elf was too busy laughing, as Bells agility wasn’t S rank it was SS rank which had never been seen before.

Each level has ranks from I to SSS. but usually most adventurers level up by the time they reach lv 1 rank B or A. When they level up, their stats and ranks in their level one become the base stats for their level two stats. Currently Bell is level 1 with S And SS rank stats. He can now become level 2 once his stats are refreshed by Hestia. Because he defeated the Minotaur

If I remember correctly each Level has its own ranks and when you Level up they reset, S is the highest, so Bell has max stats for Level 1, but not max compared to Level 2. And in this series Levels are a bigger deal than in most games. In my mind I usually multply the level by 10 to get a better picture compared to games.

Here's a short explanation for you guys 1. Mind Zero- Means that you used up all your mana and you fainted because of it. 2. All Rank S abilities - This says you can move to the next level if your abilities are rank S. So as of now Bell is level one but he can transition to level 2 now and his skills will return to rank E I believe (Im not sure if its E or F but either one of those is the lowest Rank for abilities in each level)
