I love this version! Everytime I hear "Bella ciao" it gives me goosebumps.. It has a very deep meaning, an anthem for people who fight for freedom.. It's sad that other people sing this for fun without knowing the original context..

This is from wikipedia. (I can't really speak for the accuracy of it but *shrug*) I guess the tune was originally a folk song and was later given new lyrics.
