I love how many lyric easter eggs there are, such as expressions that can be heard as different things while still providing a coherent meaning to the song or just really smart writing. For example, “pray cuz” can also be heard as “break us” since in the music video you see all the Dream army going against the dolls and tearing them down, especially when Bella fights Grimes and is in a very vulnerable position she can do nothing else but tell her “go ahead and break us”. Even if this is not intentional, it adds so much more meaning to the song because it adds two different Doll perspectives being 1. Being fed up, not being able to take control and trying to raise your voice and claim your freedom once and for all and 2. Being vulnerable because even when you try your hardest, sometimes after everything you’ve done, in reality you’re still not capable of fulfilling your task, and there are so many unheard and unreported cases of this either in cases of domestic violence or any other type of injustice. Love those details 🤗
