Regardless of what people think everyone has the right to be the unique individual they are meant to be regardless of gender, race or creed. Everyone has the right to choose what they want to be, what path they choose to take in life without being discriminated, discouraged or judged. This is the true meaning of being a free spirit….it is the essence of embracing yourself to be a FREE and unique individual…and no one should have the power to take that away.

I had no idea she had a British accent. Her American accent is perfect.

Why are we torturing an entire generation with announcing their identity? This whole letter amounts to Bella being Bella just like all of us are just ourselves. Stop forcing kids to think about this.

who do you think is forcing who? because that comment reads _very_ differently wether you think that this torture comes from a 'demand' by queer people who are already out, that everyone does like them (and it can feel that way, some corners of the queer community are not as welcoming as they think they are) - or from conservatives and generally ignorant and close-minded people, who still think trans and/or nonbinary identities are somehow 'weird' and 'a fad' (they're not.)

1. Bella is no longer a child. Child actors do grow into adults. 2. As a teacher, Im' here to say that any child who doesn't fit a "norm" - gender preference and/or gender identity - already thinks about this regularly. It's those of us who fit the norms who don't think about this very much. 3. You're free to ignore or pay attention to this letter from Bella to Bella, but missives like this are designed to get people like us to think about what others go through when they question their identity.

@@MusicfromMarrs While I have no beef with they/them vis-a-vis she/her or he/him, I get confused when reading an article, say, about a person who, unbeknowst to me goes by they/them, and is referred to as such, I find myself having to re-read the article to find where I got derailed by the switch from singular (my natural assumption) to plural. Just sayin'.

I feel like if you're at the point where quoting an 11 year old meme is your wittiest clapback you're maybe not very in touch with current times

@@swiftlymurmurs I don’t care about memes nor have I seen the one you’re referring to, although, If that is what it said I think I would find it fitting here. 🤷♂️ This is narcissism at its finest and the cult of personality that follows does its bravest seal clap.
